  1. Andre, I'm BMFoiling my Gasser '57 now. Your job on the trim looks great. Wondering though, is that foil on the vent windows? I seem to always have problems doing them.
  2. Looking good Andre, and thanks for the Ebay info. Gotta think about that for those prices.
  3. I second what you said Steve about not being a Gremlin fan, but I gotta say, this is a really cool build. Had you considered a slight top chop??
  4. Wow, now with all these additional products to use this paint I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed here.?
  5. Great job after the long layoff. Always thought those Hertz Mustangs were cool.
  6. Great work on that one, awesome details Tom.?
  7. Perfectly done "rust bucket" Robert. Now you need to do a restored version.
  8. Thanks Guys. Complements appreciated.?
  9. Well, in any case at least for me, the "Chrome" foil definately works better for me then that "Ultra" stuff.
  10. Thanks about the paint and colors. I was really going for a true Black metallic and red, but since I bought the "blazing black" I went ahead and used it. As for the paint, just a simple rattle can job. Actually first time I used the Duplicolor and Testor paints. Both were applied over Krylon 2 in 1 Automotive filler primer.
  11. By rhe way, There is no clear coat on the paint. Just liquid medium compound, polishing compound (automotive products) , and old Meguires NXT Tech Wax.
  12. Thanks Dave. I brushed some old future I had on the spoons and it actually looks pretty good, not that that 's what I'm gonna use tho.
  13. Well, its finally done. I previously posted a few WIP pictures and the little bug is finally done. My first 2 tone paint job. The red is Duplicolor Ford Toreador Red, the Black/Charcoal is Extreme Laquer Blazing Black, which as you can see is anything BUT black. The silver stripe at the belt line was intended to just be the chrome trim foiled but I kept having problems getting it to look right so I just decided to paint the raised part that the trim sits on top of. Doesn't look great but not too bad. I added Weber carbs to the engine and did a little customizing of the exhaust. So here's some pictures
  14. I just got the 4300 Thinner, no clear yet. I'm still deciding what to do about the clear. As I think we discussed here earlier, I don't like what I call "over-cleared" where it just doesn't look realistic to me.
  15. Cool build Bart, '64 Galaxie one of my favorite "big" Fords.
  16. I know thats of course a discontinued kit, but in doing a google search, as usually you can at least find one for sale, no where can I find a seller of one.
  17. No picture to show, but I tried the new foil I got in (just says "Chrome", not "New and Improved") and right away I could tell the difference from the "Ultra Chrome". I'd say it is minutely thicker and trimming and removing the excess was a bit easier. Still have to be very delicate though but I guess the the nature of the product. Another indication of being a bit thicker is as opposed to the "Ultra" that curls up when you pull a strip off the backing, the regular just stays straight. Just thought I'd let those interested know.
  18. I thought I remembered there was a way to pre-view a post before sending it. Don't see a way to do it. Is there????
  19. Humidity and temps back up here at home so I haven't tried anymore. I did buy the Createx thinner to he sure (hopefully) I don't have any thinning issues.
  20. Keep those awesome Porsche pics coming. I love the lowered stance on some of those 911's.
  21. Wow, not famillier with that one. Looks like it has custom wheels. Isn't that a big block Chevy engine on your model. Does it come with that?
  22. Just wondering Andre, just what kit is this??
  23. OK, I get the tag thingy, but that doesn't exactly relate to the point of my original post.
  24. Typo, meant rod.... but the closest I can find is square tubing that one side would have to be cut off.
  25. I think this old brain has it LOL.
