  1. It is complete, still sealed in bags. Gonna have a little fun with hotrodding a Beetle!!
  2. Yep, just after asking that thought came to mind but I was thinking tubing. As we speak I'm working on the springs. Thanks for answering
  3. I'm late looking at this cool thread. Karl, I'm trying to make the front suspension like yours on this Stude. You said you scratch built (which I'm trying to do for my 57 Cevvy Gasser) and I wonder if you can tell mw how you did the ends of the leaf springs??
  4. YAY!!!!! Finally had favorable painting weather Sunday to topcoat the body and other body parts on the TA. Paint was really smooth but after curing out looks grainy. Smooth sanding and polishing to follow.
  5. Went into Hobby Lobby to pick up some Evergreen rod and saw this torn up box on the shelf so I asked how much they'd discount it. Got it for $10.75. Future street rod !!
  6. WOW!! Some great model subjects there....that "ZR-1" Vette is awesome, and yeah, cool 56 and 57.??
  7. Nice.......I bought as far as I can remember the first 260Z delivered in New Orleans back in the day. I guess now I need to find a Z model. Cool!!
  8. I like it!! Gonna be cool.
  9. Super cool rarity!! Great color combo and wheel choice??
  10. Sounds like I need to try it again and be more careful burnishing it.
  11. Got this kit in today off of Ebay. Meh, not particularly impressed. I'm sure with a lot of tweeking it can be made to look more "real". Won't be building it very soon due to a couple of other projects but when I do it's gonna take some modifications and some different parts.
  12. Very nice!!?
  13. The video here using the testors $1.89 enamel and laquer thinner looks about as easy as can be. The finish is really impressive and wow, what a cheap paint job. But of course, with my luck I'm sure to screw it up LOL. Wondering if anyone else has done this??
  14. Very cool, and I too like those headers. What kit did they come from?
  15. Great quality builds but those engines...WOW!
  16. I forgot about it can be used as masking.
  17. I really like those Torque-Thrust (at least I think what they are) wheels. Great depth.
  18. Thanks again guys. Still waiting for more ideal weather conditions to paint it black.
  19. Yep, huge selection !!
  20. I agree with you John, won't be using again either.
  21. Very nice build there Stephen. The '59 is a pretty unique. If I remember right, at very high speeds the rear would actually lift due to the wing-like design.
  22. Hello folks, I've used chrome bare-metal foil for a long time but never used the Black Chrome. Bought a sheet and this stuff (at least this sheet) is terrible. When I rubbed it to smooth out the wrinkles the silver foil is visable in the black. Anyone else experience this. Pretty dissappointed in the product.
  23. Very cool, love the paint scheme??
