  1. wow, I like that. The driver of this ain't messing about!
  2. That '63 Chevy reminds me of the tin toy friction cars I had as a kid. They were more like a representation of the car, you could quite easily tell what it was based on but were nowhere near accurate.
  3. I'm not sure. From what I've seen, all round headlight models were plain except the Concourse trim level. All the later square headlight models had the trim. Also, the vinyl roof not being a thing has some truth to it, I haven't seen one hatchback model fitted with a vinyl roof, only the regular booted models.
  4. Shall do. There is a very faint casting on the kit which I missed, thanks!
  5. You might be thinking of 1974 SS. It looks like MPC used the script from the '74 SS which is exactly the same font and scale as what's on the kit, minus the SS.
  6. It's a great kit. I finally found that picture of the bronze car I was originally planning on basing it off, you could go with that?
  7. Great stuff, thanks. I'll check it out.
  8. Very nice custom. The wood on these in 1.1 would swell when it rained, trapping the occupants inside! The closest we had to a woody in the UK was the Morris Minor and Mini Traveller. The rear doors were notorious for jamming up.
  9. That colour suits it's nicely, and the wheels being the same colour is perfect. Wheels are a nice design, I like those.
  10. Nice restoration. I've never heard of that make but it looks like a really nice kit this one.
  11. Very nice. I love these mix and match personal customs, it's your own unique build where you won't see another even close. Love it!
  12. Lovely little kit and amazing restoration. That green one looks like it went through a mincer!
  13. Beautiful build, nicely detailed weathering under the hood. Another great looking model, well done.
  14. That's a fine build, showroom quality right there! Very nice.
  15. That looks really nice! Wouldn't mind using that colour on my next '62 Buick Electra build.
  16. Stunning looking engine and chassis, very nicely detailed. I like the body colour, looks like 1940's LA Yellow cab.
  17. Bit more done over the last couple days. This build is going very smoothly, probably the most straight forward build I've done so far, not one issue. Not too far to go now.
  18. I can agree with that, true words indeed.
  19. I seen this video a while back. In an interview, Bob said the producers didn't have a clue what they were doing. I can't remember exactly what he said but he tried telling the crew that the strip of track they wanted him to run down wasn't right for the car, or it had debris that wasn't cleaned up or something, anyway, he tried warning them but was basically told to stfu you're being paid, get on with it.
  20. Yes, Revell I've had no issue with, though I've only done two, the '69 Mustang Boss and the '76 Torino, the wheels fit ok on them. Most of my builds are MPC or AMT from Round2 where some have been updated from solid axles.
  21. Amazing job. Very well detailed and the paint is perfect. Some outdoor shots would make it look more realistic than it already does, very nice work.
  22. Thanks, Mike. It's definitely worth picking up. Quick and simple build and looks great when finished.
  23. Looks great. Nice paintwork and clean looking interior. Nearly all newer builds I've done, the wheels are always wonky or loose fitting. For some reason this is one area model companies can't seem to get right. Most of my builds have the wheels glued solid to the hubs because they never ever sit straight.
  24. Very nicely done. Great job on blending in the custom parts. It's great to see the odd custom version getting built using the crazy looking parts they supply. The paint choice looks really good on this build. Nice one.
  25. Turned out very nice indeed. Typical looking colour for the period, very nice, and the wood effect inside I saw in WIP is nicely done.
