  1. Hood also done. I masked off the insulation pads and left them black plastic.
  2. Yes, it's worked out ok. I'm happy with the look.
  3. oh no! I'd be crying. Great to see you found all the kits to replace them, nice one. This is what happened to some of my models as a teen in the 90's. They were on my bedroom windowsill and the sun destroyed them.
  4. They look identical to the ones in the MPC 1970 Bonneville custom pick-up. I had a look to see if they are named but all it says is custom wheels.
  5. Thanks, guys. Some say pink and green should never be seen... except when it's a custom '65 Grand Prix, haha!?
  6. If they can look that good I wouldn't mind that they are curbside. They would still look fantastic on the shelf.
  7. Beautiful looking rod. Those wheels are Huge!! I love it.
  8. White. The roof is Glacier White which is very bright so I'm thinking maybe Alpine white.
  9. Body colour done and I really like it! I've had this can of Jade Green hanging around for months not knowing what to use it on. I think I used some when doing my '67 Impala but it didn't suit it. There was about quarter left in the can and it covered well. Very good paint this Hycote brand. oh, and the B pillars are going body colour:D
  10. Yes, the 70's was a very disorganised time in the car industry. Over here, British Leyland were always striking over management and worker disputes which often resulted in horrendous build quality. The Morris Marina, three of which I own, I've been told on more than one occasion that during the time the model was being fitted with disc brakes as standard, some cars were being recalled because they had a drum hub on one side and a disc and caliper on the other! Whether it's true or not I don't know, the brand still gets a lot of hate to this day, and rumours abound regarding British Leyland.
  11. I have been thinking of doing something similar, like an airport vehicle. Love those things.
  12. Nice work. The trophy is a nice touch:) I couldn't do a build in 24 hrs, let alone 12! There would be fingerprints everywhere, lol.
  13. Thanks, David. Yeah, EPA wouldn't be too impressed, that test bottle of fuel on the dashboard wouldn't last long either, Lol!
  14. Thanks, mate. It was a fun build.
  15. Thanks, David. The setback was a blessing in disguise. The paint actually laid down smoother after the strip down, no idea why, but I got no orange peel whatsoever the second time around.
  16. Beautiful restoration and stunning colour! Good job correcting the wheel arches.
  17. Cute little build, very sweet model. Looks like British number plates. Y reg plate would be between March and August 2001.
  18. Cool looking builds. I really like these, very unusual.
  19. Thanks, Michelle.
  20. Looking good. I love that wood effect, nice work!
  21. Great tips on building up the front. I haven't done a Charger yet but will be soon. Nice neat work so far, the interior is looking great.
  22. I was thinking the same. Most pictures I've come across are body colour.
  23. Thanks, Stacy. Stick around, it'll kick off again when I ask whether the B pillar is body colour or satin black!?
  24. Tasty! I was actually thinking of a similar colour before I did this kit, a kind of graphite silver.
  25. Be careful of ebayers with very high feedback. A lot of these accounts are bought for big bucks from 'once' reputable sellers, including what's left of their stock. They're bought for the high feedback to convince you they are legit sellers. Easiest way to find out is go to their feedback page and see if they have tons of recent negative feedback. Usually you get something in the post that's completely different to what you bought or the item is slightly broken. The seller offers half refund and bull**its you with the cost of posting it back when you complain. Never accept it cos that's how they make their money, always ask for full refund and don't let them draw the dispute out over weeks hoping the dispute action expires.
