  1. Looks amazing, very clean build. I like that it comes with both folded and fixed roof.
  2. Very nice build. I'll have to keep an eye out for this kit.
  3. Nicely done. I wonder how many people don't know the rear window frame is black and the grill has a red pin stripe. Even hpiguys recent build forgot to add those!
  4. Looks very nice. Good job on fixing the the panel gap around the bumper.
  5. Beautiful. I like that off white colour with brown interior, or is it beige?, good looking combo either way.
  6. oh definitely. I know rattle cans will only ever give an acceptable finish so I will be venturing into airbrush equipment down the road... if I can find enough excuses I have the room for more model kits, Lol.
  7. ah well, there's some good to come out of the paint having to be done again. The custom front panel doesn't have wheels arch trims to follow the line of the cars trim, it just disappears where the original bumper should be. I didn't make the effort to fabricate those bits last time, so I'm using some body filler to make the EXTREMELY FINE line that is the wheel arch trim and some careful sanding.
  8. That's cool. Very clean build.
  9. Now that's a custom pick-up! It turned out great, very nice.
  10. You're not helping to discourage me from investing in airbrush equipment, haha.
  11. A quick shot of the engine and tub in position. There would be a pink Pontiac there if the paint hadn't screwed up, xD
  12. That's cool. It even comes with a little screwdriver!
  13. I love it. I did paintings of the Chrysler Turbine for an art project when I was in school. The drama class was doing a musical set in the 50's, and knowing I could draw and paint, they got me to do some of the background boards.
  14. Prices are not bad for the paints, especially if this is how the finish turns out with them.
  15. Well it looks great. It looks like a real car half way through the production line! Is Zero a brand?
  16. Those are sweet little builds.
  17. I haven't read too many books in my life, mostly fiction. One good read I remember was called "The Fog" no, not that zombie pirate film from the 70's. Another book I enjoyed was "Where Eagles Dare"
  18. Nice. I love Holden products.
  19. I love these creations. It makes me think of a world that would be current if history took lots of different turns.
  20. These Hudson kits are quite something! I've seen a couple of builds on here now and they look amazing. I love that blue metallic one, super nice!
  21. Looks amazing, especially the interior! When I was a kid in the 80's a young neighbour had one in silver. It was all rusty and back fired constantly. Scrap then, worth a pretty penny now!
  22. Teach me the ways, master! xD Stunning paint on a classic VW. I always wanted a Golf, closest I got was a 1980 VW Derby.
  23. Yeah, I think I'll be testing parts like the hood first from now on. Thing is, it wasn't the paint that was the issue, it was that flipping fly spray. Strict EU regulations reckon it's safer for me to empty an entire can of very weak fly spray for one fly instead of a squirt of the old proper stuff! I can't remember choking from a room filled with aerosol before they made 'safer' fly spray!
  24. There are some cool decals in this kit! I won't be using most of these but I do like the Road Test Vehicle decals and have a great idea for them!
  25. Body is in primer... again! I've had to re attach and fill the custom panel seams as they came loose when stripping the paint.
