  1. Beautiful looking Charger. I really like the white roof and interior.
  2. I like the working look of it, like it's constantly out and about earning its keep. Very nice build and lovely detail.
  3. Very nice, awesome detail. I like all the chrome it has, very bling. The front reminds me of the Chrysler PT Cruiser, pretty nice feature.
  4. This looks absolutely amazing! The snow detail just completes it, very nicely done. Looks like a real truck out on the road. Love it.
  5. This is my first BRBO on the forum, this is an old AMT kit from the mid 80's that never got built. I was expecting all sorts of trouble, being that the kit is so old, high parts count and all the horror stories of old AMT fit issues, but I can honestly say this kit went together like Lego with not one fit issue, even the decals on a mouldy looking sheet of paper went on perfectly. In fact, they laid down better than some modern decals I've used. I was able to move them around for ages without tearing them and they sink down over the panel gaps and rivets like paint! The only trouble I encountered, more a minor inconvenience really, was the exhaust stack support frame. The instructions don't make it clear which bar go's where or how they are fixed in place, but ten minutes of test fitting had that sorted. I also chopped an inch out of the frame as I didn't like how long it looked. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this build and if it ever gets released again I'll certainly be buying a couple for sure.
  6. That looks stunning! I read through the WIP and saw what the dog did! but you pushed on through, so well done. What an amazing looking rig, I love it!
  7. Beautiful! One of the colours I was contemplating was similar to that, called Aztec Bronze.
  8. Yea, the bumpers seemed to get worse and worse as the decade went on. I seen a video on YouTube where they were testing the 5 mph bumpers on an early 70's Buick, might have been an Oldsmobile I cant remember, but the front grill was part of the bumper which give the front end a much cleaner look. Cars like the Pinto and Vega looked like they had treadplate steps fitted to them.
  9. Well, get that mix tape out and start building in true 80's action montage fashion, haha.
  10. I think the shows made the cars and not the other way around. If they decided to use a Camaro in Starsky and Hutch I wonder what the reaction would be finding out they wanted to use a Ford Torino, lol. I guess it go's to show how good the shows were, they could have used almost any car and make them cool.
  11. ooh, that's looking good.
  12. Smooth looking rod, nice clean detail all round.
  13. That looks amazing, I love those wheels. I like the stock ride height on this one too.
  14. Looks great. Funny sometimes the simplest of kits can look so good.
  15. You done a great job on the foiling, great job overall being a resin kit. Very nice work.
  16. This is, or was, rather "The Fuzz Duster" by MPC. It can be built as a stock Volare or Road Runner R/T. It has the right parts in there but unfortunately none of the right decals for a good looking R/T. So I built it as a mid 80's student's car who can't afford the new Olds 442 or the Regal T-Type, but he's a wizard with the spanners, has vision, and knows his way around a paint booth, and has an eye for style! So when this down at heel 1980 Volare popped up for sale he knew all it would take is a little imagination, a bit of time and a good 80's ballad on a ferric C-90 to bring it bang up to date, Lol. Great little kit this one, I really enjoyed it. The solid plastic Goodyear tyres are from the kit but the rims are '66 Buick Wildcat custom option. I also modified the front bumper extension to bring the bumper closer in. Sorry for the different lighting in the pictures, weather is still rubbish here and my camera is the one who decides when the flash is needed! xD
  17. Thanks, guys. I just finished this one up about an hour ago. Great little kit, though I did have trouble with the bumpers, they look ridiculously goofy, it's like they were designed for a completely different car. They're supposed to fit under the bumper extension but they look wrong and actually fit better on top, but then they don't line up to the flared quarters and also leaves a huge space under the bumpers and because there's no valance it looked ridiculous. Fitting the bumpers in line to the extension piece makes them stick out a mile and leaves big gaps between the bumper ends and the wings. I was able to trim the front extension panel and bring the bumper closer to the car, I then glued the bumper in line to it rather than under or on top of it, but I couldn't do the same with the back because of the flared out rear quarters, they would need too much cutting away so I left the rear as is. I'll post more pics in Underglass.
  18. Nicely detailed chassis and floor, and I love the body colour, beautiful looking shade of blue. Very nice build, I like it.
  19. I'm loving the generator! Awesome work.
