  1. wow, great looking custom build, the interior looks sharp and the body paint is a very nice shade of silver, very nicely done! Amazing work on those doors though!
  2. Super cool looking Comet. I like the colour, and those chrome steelies on whitewall tyres look great. Love the background too!
  3. Looks great, I love these retro custom kits.
  4. Fuel tanks are done. I added some diesel stains from the filler cap using blackwash. I haven't fitted them yet, I still need to paint the repair to the chopped chassis.
  5. That's a loud colour, I like it! I like these early Corollas. 70's Japanese cars looked so cool, but boy, did they rust badly!
  6. Thanks, mate. It was a fun little build this one.
  7. Thanks, Michal.
  8. Thanks, Chris. I too miss a lot on this forum as it's unbelievably busy. I only marked the site as read yesterday and already every topic is highlighted!
  9. Super nice looking low rider. I love the colours. I really like the speakers you did in the rear parcel shelf, what a great touch! One of my favourite kits to build is the '64 Impala.
  10. Outstanding build, it looks real out in the sun! Such nice clean work and your paint looks amazing, very nice colour too. I have the Del Rio wagon which will be my next build after seeing this I think!
  11. ooh yes, I like that a lot! Very nice work.
  12. Great work on this. What an amazing looking display for the shelf! I love these little Dodge trucks, and that monster truck is sweet, I like that!
  13. Great scratch building, the trailer looks outstanding so far. I like it.
  14. Nice work. I like the firewall detailing and the interior is looking good.
  15. Stunning looking cabover, the weathering looks great! Very nice build.
  16. Looks amazing! Some seriously nice work there, very nice.
  17. So far this kit has been super easy to build, no fit issues and everything has lined up well to the next part, but the instructions aren't great at all. The drawings don't always look like the actual part and is impossible to tell how some parts go together. I had a heck of a time with the exhaust stack support frame. The diagonal cross bar has these locating points but there isn't anywhere for them to locate to, they don't show which way around they face on the instructions as they just look like plain bars. The diagonal bar also has a notch in it, again not shown on the instructions, which I thought was to clear the air intake pipe, but it doesn't fit very well that way around, but no matter what configuration these bars were in, every position felt like a bad fit. I got fed up in the end and just glued it all together where I got the least amount of interference.
  18. Thanks, guys. The box art shows the shorter frame for some reason. I think AMT must have had a kit out before this one with a longer frame and just used it instead of re-tooling for a short one.
  19. Chop Chop!! Since getting the frame together it kept bugging me how overly long it looked, so I cut about an inch out of the frame to shorten it! I made the cut at one of the cross braces for strength when gluing it back together. I measured from front to rear hub each side and both sides measure exactly 213mm spot on! After some filling and touching up with some paint you'll never know it was there.
  20. Thanks, Stephen. It's looking better now since I chopped an inch out of it! Cheers, Dan. Yeah, I was browsing your thread just the other day, it looks amazing! The similarities are uncanny! Thanks, Ken. It's called Pageant Blue.
  21. Yeah, the shorty trailer is a sweet option. There's also a part in there to make a flatbed trailer but isn't shown on the instructions. I don't know what it's called but it's the wall that go's on the front of the trailer where the air lines are.
  22. Very nice, what a great looking colour! Super nice build.
  23. She's coming together nicely, the cab looks awesome and I really like those wheels.
  24. Really nice builds, I love these! Super nice detailing too, very nice.
