  1. Nice work on the mattress. You're right, the beds aren't very well detailed and painting them makes them look even worse! I cut up an old tea towel for my Kenworth and glued that in, lol.
  2. Yeah, I get that effect with rattle cans sometimes, it's great for flat but clean paint look.
  3. Cheers, guys. I'm still waiting for good weather to take some outdoor shots and finally put this in underglass.
  4. Cool, I'll be following this build. I have one in progress and I also used the solid plastic wheels cos I like the raised Goodyear lettering. Some satin black and they look just like rubber tyres.
  5. Very nice, you done a great job on this.
  6. Looks great. It came out looking ok being cleared coloured plastic, very nice. Yeah, the wood is definitely not a European thing! Lol
  7. Looks great, I love these early 80's muscle. It's great when a build turns out better than you expected, "oh, I'm pretty good at this" haha. You can be proud of this one, it really does look stunning.
  8. I really like the two tone colour. Stunning and flawless looking build right there, I like this one a lot! Very nicely done.
  9. Cars: AMT '71 T-Bird with detailed chassis and interior Trucks: AMT Kenworth Aerodyne Cabover, the original 1970's release. Fit and quality is perfect, no changes needed except maybe a shortened chassis and some more decal options.
  10. Interior is finished. Very basic inside though the mouldings are very good especially the dashboard and the detail is pretty easy to pick out. On the body I painted the rear light panel in satin black and fitted the lights. I might fit the rear spoiler but I messed up the pin stripe, so I'll have to strip it and re-paint it if I do. I've only the exhaust left to paint and fit and this build is done. I'm quite looking forward to seeing how this one looks.
  11. Thanks Nigel. Yes, I thought so too, when I finish this one up I'll take a pic of it next to the Nova. Cheers, Carl. It's nearly ready for under-glass:) Thanks, Jason. Not far to go now, been a pretty good kit this one.
  12. Man, that looks good. I really like that colour.
  13. Great looking frame, very nice colour and I like the interior. That cab looks sweet, can't wait to see what it looks like painted up.
  14. Really nice work. Those tank pieces came out really good.
  15. I love the colour, nice detailing like the shocks and air ride. Stunning build, and done in under 24hrs! Great work.
  16. Thanks, guys. Got a bit more done today. Chassis is almost finished and I test fitted the the body to get an idea of the final look, she's gonna look sweet. I added another pinstripe and used the louvers for the back windows. Engine and interior work in progress, I should be finished tomorrow. So far it's going together perfectly, it's not much different to the '79 Chevy Nova Squad Rod.
  17. Just finished the red stripe, I added a smaller pin stripe above it to break it up a bit.
  18. On the box it says "Detailed 6 cylinder engine" but on the instructions shows a V8, even the engine block in the kit has four cylinders lightly printed on each side. It comes with both twin carb and single. I have no idea if the engine in the kit, or the box art is accurate to the real car but it looks like this mould was around for a while before it became the fuzz duster. There is a year moulded into the chassis says 1978.
  19. I'd take bad roads over salt any day, haha. The number of cars I've scrapped in my time because of corrosion!
  20. ah, yes, the '71 T-Bird, another kit with extra parts. I remember building mine and wondering why there were tail lights in there that didn't fit that car, the extra wheel caused some confusion. I didn't notice I'd cut five wheels off the sprue, I must have been on autopilot or something. I was going to fit the stock wheels and found the axles were too thick to fit in the holes which led to splitting one open when I tapped it in! I threw it in the bin and used the custom wheels in the kit, after I finished, I went to put the left over parts in my spares tin and found I still had four wheels:/ Lol. It was the first time I've ever gained a part as apposed to loosing one.
  21. That paint is perfect! Gorgeous looking build, absolutely stunning!
  22. That's some great work on the chains! Love it.?
  23. Nice. I'll be watching. This is a great kit, you could definitely build this in 24hrs if the paint dries fast enough. Cant wait to see it finished.
  24. Trying out some wheel options for the Volare. I was going to go with some 60's Impala trims, but the smoothies that came with the '66 Buick Wildcat look much better suited I think.
  25. So my kit didn't have two sets of rear light lenses by accident then? I did wonder about that. A good thing I guess, the number of times I've turned the room upside down after dropping one of those on the floor! Lol
