Paint and decal work is beautiful. I wasn't even aware of this kit.
  2. That is as gorgeous a paint finish as I've ever seen on a scale model. Stunning restoration.
  3. That's spectacular work all around and I wouldn't even know how to begin restoring a model that started in such a condition. Nice backstory on the car that provided the inspiration.
  4. Extremely impressed with mirror-like finish and equally impressed with the detail and realism on the instrument panel side of the dash.
  5. Superb work as always and I like the attention to detail right down to the rub strips on the bumpers. I also like the tan with white seats interior. Gauges look good and I'll have to get a couple of sets for my builds in the near future.
  6. Very nice and clean build as always. The blackwash on the front grill and rear panel are very sharp looking.
  7. This will be an interesting one because I don't ever recall seeing a Rallye 350 scale model.
  8. That.....is really cool. Great work.
  9. That is just a spectacular build. The lowered stance and those wheels create a slick look. Great detail work and the polished paint looks superb.
  10. Nice detail work on the interior. Did you use a decal or is that paint for the floor mat? Hopefully I'll get mine on the bench in the near future since I've always heard positive reviews on this kit.
  11. Oh, I see. Well thanks for non recommendations.....lol. Nice seamless job on the seats.
  12. Sharp looking build and very nicely detailed.
  13. What is your preferred filler and does it differ whether you are using enamels or lacquers as a top coat. I ask because I've used Tamiya putty sometimes successfully and yet another time small depressions appeared where I'd filled a low spot months after completing the model. I always like what you're able to accomplish with the door panels by separating them from the interior bucket. Eventually I'll have to try the technique with one of my builds.
  14. Out of curiosity do you enjoy rehabilitation builds more than building models brand new out of box? I often see a lot of rehab models on ebay and wonder if I'd be able to successfully pull everything apart and strip them down to bare plastic for repainting as you're doing here.
  15. That would also be my holy grail kit as the '67-'68 Impala fastbacks are amongst my most favorite body styles. The trim lines on this one appears well defined and it looks as though there will be a fair amount of foil work on this body. The chrome looks very bright on this very rare kit.
  16. Nice work on the chassis. So was it a Testors One Coat Lacquer that caused an issue?
  17. Looks beautiful in that color combination. Very nice clean build.
  18. I like the style in which this very cleanly built Nova was done. Great work. It immediately reminded me of this vintage ad......
  19. Another build I'm looking forward to seeing complete especially since I have two of these kits unbuilt. The interior/exterior combination looks sharp on this one.
  20. That has to be one of the best builds I've ever seen of this kit. Sharp looking color combination and the belt line molding is amazing in terms of it's detail.
  21. That's a real clean build in a good color combination and I like the nicely detailed interior.
  22. Great restoration and the medium blue color looks appropriate for this model. I've built a couple of these and they're a nice stress free build.
  23. That's a beautiful looking paint job in a great Tamiya color and the decal alignment is excellent. You mentioned the rear body pan being a fitment issue and I've heard the same thing from others that've built this kit. It's the one reason I've been reluctant to build one even though I'm a huge fan of the '69-'70 Mustangs.
  24. That's a beautiful build of a nicely detailed model. Your foil work looks impeccable. I like whatever type of wash that was used on the valve covers as it gives them a cast look.
  25. Your talent is immense as this model build is as good as it gets. I enjoyed the videos and was quite impressed with the scratch built door handles. And the round headed rivets are a great idea for door and trunk locks. Thanks for this posting.
