  1. Great work and color combination on a nicely detailed kit. I was fortunate to find one of these "Special Interest Series" kits a couple of years back. Had one when I was a kid but never finished it and not sure whatever happened to it. Just have to pick out the right colors and this build provides some ideas.
  2. Excellent work and I have to compliment you on such a great clear finish without any wet sanding. I've only been able to produce such a finish with sanding/polishing,
  3. Your work is always impeccable and very well detailed. I followed your WIP on this one and have a question. I noticed you foiled prior to clear coating and wondered if it were to "lock in" the foil or perhaps to change it's appearance with respect to brightness or shine?
  4. Good information. Thanks Mike.
  5. I have the 1987 release of the AMT '65 Pontiac Bonneville "Prestige Series" which included a piece of foil to be used for the rocker trim. Tried it last year during the build but it had lost it's adhesiveness however. Another very interesting topic btw.
  6. Very nice build and gold is always a great choice on these Firebirds. I like the gold paint on the wheels and eventually when I get around to building mine I'd like to do the same treatment.
  7. Turned out great Ray and it is a very nicely detailed kit. I've never built this one and wonder if the kit offers a set of factory wheel covers?
  8. Beautiful build all around and the black primer under the interior color is worth investigating since I do many white interiors myself.
  9. That turned out great.
  10. Excellent paint and foil work. Nice job picking out the the detail on the grill emblem. I have several of these '70 kits and love building them.
  11. Spectacular paint and foil work and Star Spangled blue is such a great color especially on the muscle cars.
  12. Spectacular work. I'd see this as a challenging model to foil.
  13. That's a very nice clean build.
  14. Excellent work on the build and an awesome diorama. Funny thing seeing this one as I'm just beginning to work on a '70 in very similar colors.
  15. Excellent work as always Gareth and your foil work is very cleanly done. Is that BMF or household foil with some type of adhesive? I normally build coupes and hadn't considered this one. However the squirrel might change my mind....lol.
  16. Spectacular color on a spectacular build.
  17. Great work on some rare models like the '75 Firebird which has a gorgeous paint job.
  18. Very nice paint and detail work on the trim.
  19. Excellent work on a rarely seen model with the paint, foil and dashboard detail.
  20. Great two tone paint work. Seat belts add a nice authentic touch.
  21. Very nice cleanly detailed build. I like the vinyl top which I haven't seen very often on scale builds.
  22. That's very nice work and the color suits the car. I have one these Birds unbuilt and was leaning towards this shade of blue.
  23. Beautiful build of a beautiful automobile. I was not aware of that. The Rally wheels definitely work on this Riv.
  24. Great looking build with respect to the detailing and paint work. Nice idea with the corrugated backdrop. Did you backlight the corrugated card or was it a sunny day when photographed?
  25. That turned out beautiful. I've never seen one of these with so much engine compartment detail. How did you create the headlights? I have a couple more of these kits in addition to the one I just completed and think it would be neat to add such a feature. And great job foiling the wheel openings since the model doesn't have a very defined trim line to follow.
