Nice build! I’ll be starting a General Lee build soon from a 69 Camaro, they’re pretty much the same too.

I’ve built a bunch of these.. loving it so far! And, that’s a genius way to fix the body. I’ve got one in process, definitely copy that trick!

This is amazing! I love these “what if” style builds. Someone should build that in 1:1!

Wow, you did a lot of work to correct some blemishes of the time honored AMT 40 kit. I like where this is headed!

I like where you’re going with this. The pictures are of a 39 Mercury. While the Fords and Mercurys looked similar no body panels were interchangeable between the Ford and Mercury. They also had a longer wheelbase.

Is the top one supposed to be an early version of Dave Stuckey’s Lil Coffin? Because I have been thinking of trying to build that car.

Really cool Tim. I’ve only built the convertible and woody, and only the convertible has survived. I have the custom chopped coupe kit but I’ve already robbed the tires out of it so I need to stop doing that and build it. You mentioned others saying the chop was funky, and I concur, probably why I haven’t built it yet but your builds look great so I should just dive in. I painted this vert Testors green from an airbrush, Corvette FI small block, I used 1/24 32 Ford bumpers to replicate those 3 rib “Briz” bumpers that were so popular 20 years ago.

A piece of styrene rod down the middle of the grille makes it resemble a Pines Winterfront. The Pines company made grilles for various makes that had shutters you could open or close depending on the weather. They are rare and expensive if you can find one. The ones for a 32 had a piece of stainless down the middle.

Body and frame are in paint. Ts44 Brilliant Blue over black. No clear just polished the paint. What do you think the interior color should be? Gray, tan, black, red or?

Really cool! I had hoped to get one of these someday but I think it might be the most collectable kit out there, especially with the renewed hype! Thanks for posting.

Thanks guys! It was a fun and challenging build but I’m done with F-100s for the foreseeable future.
