  1. I've never joined one of these community builds... until now! I want in... I have always wanted to build the '60 Starliner, this will motivate me (hopefully!)
  2. How about some tips for applying decals to tires? I have done it, I first washed the tire with mineral spirits. Anyone else?
  3. I also need these parts (hood, grille, & bumpers) to complete the Flintstone casting. Would he have them?
  4. Tom, the 29 Woody is another blend of fantastic building & photography! And that stance... it's always perfect!
  5. Real. ...but it could be a model
  6. Mercury Adhesives has a small needle in the cap to help prevent clogging Check this link: http://www.airwildpilotshop.com/MoreInfo-1.asp?title=product&id=732
  7. WOW! Yellow never looked so good!
  8. Roger that! I am amazed the camera didn't burst into flames when the photo was taken!
  9. BMF. You cut "pinstripes", pick it up with tweezers, or on the tip of a #11 blade. Expect some trial & error.
  10. I just Google'd "FORD 352", bunch of stuff came up. Hope that helps... cause I know almost squat on engines.
  11. I built one... but I don't know how old it is. Probably from the 70's. Look on the back of the decal sheet, may be a date there. If nothing else, at least this will bump up.
  12. Will, I just Mapquest searched "Milford, Ma" Just get on 495 N. until you are in Lowell... Classic Plastic has their meetings there first Saturday of the month (unless there is a holiday, then it is the following Saturday) Use the side door near the back... first one in usually leaves it propped open a bit. If not, the front door is OK.
  13. I'd say you met all your goals, and then some!
  14. Please note- this is a model car forum, that must be a real car! Two of these!
  15. Charlie, Here is some pics...apparently updated Edsels have been tried, this one based on an '89 Pontiac Grand Prix!
  16. Somewhere, somehow, builds like this blur the lines between "model", to "artwork", to "engineering masterpiece"! When it no longer on the model show circuit, perhaps it should go... to the Smithsonian?!
  17. Well, here is the booth I used to have. I didn't much care fer it, I always thought it wuz kinda small, an I had a heckuva time gittin' my model in n out without bangin it up an all... So, my wife bought me this unit from Pace. It is the small booth they sell, and cost less than anything the competition had at the time. Made in the USA, stainless steel... can't go wrong! Unless of course you buy a larger unit from Pace! BTW... I use the Press'n Seal to cover the sides & bottom... less wash up, no dried up overspray flaking off into my next paint job. Yes, it does have a filter...
  18. I have seen the photos you refer to... I think you topped them! Outstanding detail. Rommel & Skully are perfect! "Skeletons are NOT pure white... exhibit A!"
  19. I recall the tube glue collection at the NNL got a lot of attention.
  20. Two things... First, it would really be nice to see the winning model during the trophy presentation. I don't see any practical way of going about that however. Second, ask participants (especially at NNL's) to please not cover up their info! I like to label the pics, I need to see the name, year, and builder.
  21. Nice Edsel! BTW, I posted this under the duplicate message. Then I deleted it when I noticed replies were appearing here instead. I really dig Edsels, the one I built... floats in space! Really. Sorta!
  22. BTW, if ya lookin' for a photo of box art, try my 33 page* Box Art album... it's in alphabetical order! It's not complete, but I'm always working on it. *as of today http://public.fotki.com/JCole/model_box_art/
  23. What may be the first model kit I purchased this year... Also stocked up on K&S "music wire" .015 and .025, Two diff viscosities of Mercury super glue, and several bottles Tamiya paint, plus one MM Acrylic.
  24. Hmmm... Don't know about this. My indian name is "Types Too Slow" Last time I was in a chat room, my reply hit the thread, three comments old!
  25. Groan! Now that I e-mailed Gregg, begging for help! Umm... "never mind!"
