I hear ya man. Glad I stuck with this one.

Thanks man. Yeah, I think it turned out pretty nice.

I'm calling this one done fellows. Under Glass: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/184340-1955-chevy-nomad/

Finally got this one finished this morning. Paint is Testors Gloss Sunburst cleared with Tamiya X-22 Clear then wet sanded and polished. All chrome trim is bmf. Wheels & tires are from Jay's Wheels & Tires 1948 on ebay and airbrushed with the chrome out of a Molotow Chrome pen. Interior color is Rust-Oleum 2X Satin Warm Caramel. Suspension was lowered and the bumpers were moved in closer to the body. The tailgate and rear glass are both operational. I did burn through on the top of the rear DS fin while wet sanding and polishing. I have more paint on the way for touch up. WIP: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/183088-1955-chevy-nomad/

Much obliged Buddy. Yeah, that was more foil that I like to deal with on a model. Nerve racking.

Looking pretty sharp John. That chrome trim came out nice.

Nice looking 55 Chevy Cameo. -
Thanks Buddy. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm slowly getting thing buttoned up on the 55. I got the hood/grille fitment issue resolved, dash completed, I decided to add some color to the front parking lights for a little contrast, and got the radiator hose and clamp installed.

I appreciate ya Brotha. A friend of mine tried the Green World Chrome and said it was no better than the other brands. I really don't mind the dry time on the Molotow Chrome.
-
Thanks man. Yeah, the dry time does take a while and I still hate to touch it after that.
-
I hear ya man. Been there, done that, and still doing it.
-
Thanks Joe. I hear ya on the mold lines. I have them sanded down and tomorrow I'll airbrush the Molotow chrome on and see how well it looks. Fingers crossed.
