This is going to be pretty kewl. I'll be watching this one.

This year I'm going to try and slow down and produce a better looking model. Plus I'm going about things differently like trial fitting parts before paint and doing moc ups while still in the raw state. I got the holes drilled out on the heads and glued to the block and also got the distributor wired. I really don't like using Testor enamel as it seems to never dry quick enough for me and I always mess it up by not waiting long enough.

You could be right bill. I've had kits that had a lot of extra parts in the past.

Thank's Dave. Well....the pics I've seen online of the 1:1 your are correct. This kit has two mufflers and tail pipes. I'm not a big stickler for it being true to stock just as long as it looks good. I was just curious as to what that 3rd exhaust manifold was doing on the tree.

While cutting parts for the engine off the tree I came across what looks like a 3rd exhaust manifold. This 3rd manifold is part #71 and it is not listed on the instruction sheet. I'm assuming it's just an extra part???

Thank's man. I think the white top breaks up all that green. Yeah well I'm a Big Ford & Chevy guy. Before my 1949 Chevy 5 window pickup I currently have I had a 1937 Ford pickup Street Rod Old School. These are 1:1 that I'm referring to.

Thank's Dave. I think I'll go with white since I have it on hand.

I got to thinking about the white for the top of the Crown Vic and thought I would go for it. The temp was 62° but the humidity was around 75%. Not ideal conditions but I remembered how the Rust-Oleum flat white handles the worst conditions better that others so I wiped off the wax and got it sanded down and painted. I'll have to be a little more picky on the weather when I spray the clear lacquer but the white came out fine.
