Thank's a bunch Oliver. -
I went with the white.
-
Thank's Dave. I think I'll go with white since I have it on hand.
-
I got to thinking about the white for the top of the Crown Vic and thought I would go for it. The temp was 62° but the humidity was around 75%. Not ideal conditions but I remembered how the Rust-Oleum flat white handles the worst conditions better that others so I wiped off the wax and got it sanded down and painted. I'll have to be a little more picky on the weather when I spray the clear lacquer but the white came out fine.

Well fella's. I have some white on hand so that's what it'll have to be. Somebody send me some good weather so I can paint ☺
-
Yeah I think your right. I need to get after that top and paint it white. Just need some good weather.

Revell 29 ford roadster end of 21 build “finished”

Love the old Flatties. Looking good so far. -
Well....I think I have picked my next project for the start of 2022. It's the AMT 1953 Victoria and will be built stock. I painted this some months back in preparation for the cold winter months. I found that I forgot to sand out a couple mold lines by the headlights after it was painted so I sat it aside. I've cleaned up the mold lines and I'll brush on a little of the craft paint and a little Pledge Revive-it and see if I can polish it. If that turns out ok I'll move forward on this build. I'm also debating on leaving the top of the car green or strip it and paint it white. If I go with stripping it I'll have to wait until warmer weather comes back. The body was air brushed with Anita's Dew Green mixed 50/50 with Windex and cleared with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Acrylic Lacquer.

Looking pretty sweet there James. I was looking at the wheelie bars for my 56 but forgot all about them. I was going to put a 10 gal fuel tank in the bed and forgot about that as well. Heck....I think I forgot a lot of stuff ? Nice progress on you pickup dude. -
Nice looking collection of Mustangs.

Yeah....I thought it was a good idea and worked for me.

Ok guys & gals.....I'm calling this one done. Link to the finished model. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/167482-1960-ford-ranchero/ -
Got this one done this morning. Pretty much stock except the wheels & tires came out of the AMT 1961 Chevy Impala SS and the engine was wired and modified. All the trim was covered with bmf and the script was hit with my Molotow chrome pen. It was painted with Tamiya TS-41 Coral Blue and cleared with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear Lacquer and polished with Novus & Meguiar's products.
