Monogram Ferrari 275P

Very nice. I'd love to build one of these someday. Your mods add a lot of realism to this basic kit. -
Andrew, you have so many of these kits it seems like you could build half the field! I'm sure many among us want to participate but just do not have kits needed to do so. Anyhow, I'm happy I finally found one I could do (Cobra #1) and I hope participants will find suitable kits to fill the field. This idea of a group build is great. Thanks for pulling us in.

I used to go a lot, it's only 40 minutes north of here. I remember in the mid sixties a privateer fellow running a yellow Cobra faster than anyone else. Turns out it was god old csx 2002! -
Wow...this shifter looks like an exact replica. Well done!

Wow, this is a beautiful replica of what might be the best looking F1 ride ever! -

Unfortunately not, must have been epic. I've been mostly at F1 and CART races here in Montreal or Toronto. -

Thanks Rich. Slow progress as my build time is just a few hours per week in summer time but I like how the two look together so far. -

Use the contact tab to request your needs. Randy Ditton will respond and restock per your request. -

The kit came with something that looked 25% the part so I have gone aftermarket with Harold Bradford's cast wheels & tires. Purchased through Randy Ditton's site. Link below https://www.modelbuilderswh.com/collections/all -

Wonderfully set up scene for the photos. I remember when you presented this diorama a while back and I was so impressed. I still am, possibly the best garage did ever! Oh yes, the car is also beautiful! -

Thanks Ray, first time I build either of these 2 kits so advice / tips welcome. -

I finally primed the Cobra body and fixed the few defects showing through. Chassis mock up of both cars also done to set ride height, wheelbase and track. -
Interesting, looking at ref pics I posted when doing the hood color tests (page 2, July 27) it looks metallic on some pics and painted white on others. I thing you could go either way.

What happened to the streamer door trim? I like the gauges

Cobra body mods finally done. It's the first time I build one of these so along the way I discover a few fixes needing attention. I opened up the hood scoop and did some filling at the top of fenders as I saw a bit of a depression along the tool parting lines. On changes to make the body closer to the Sebring specs I filled the body side vents & exhaust ports, added the little flares at the back of the front wheel openings and moved the fuel filler port (with a splash guard). The flares may be a bit overdone... I'll wait to see what it blends in better after primer. -

I can't believe how you can start from resin body panels and bags and bags of little white metal parts and turn it into such a magnificent model. You are a true artist. I salute you! -
Beautiful build in so many ways but particularly with the awesome motor compartment detailing. Top notch!
