I like how you added much realism to this basic 1 piece underbody/chassis. Looks really nice. If I understand right you polished the color coat before you put on the clear layer? That's different from how I do it but looks like you are making it work.

John, I completely agree with your statement that wheels & tires make or break a model. Do them right you have a realistic replica, do them wrong you have a toy. Your's are in the very very right category!

Amazing work. I am attempting to build 2 cars together and getting stuck at times, can't imagine trying to handle 9 ! -
She's taking shape. I like what you have done with the most basic underbody. I look forward to seing the body cleared and decals. Should be awesome.

Beautiful work. There's something about those metal parts, they look so much like ...metal! -

Really good stuff. These MFH kits seem to require a lot of expertise to pull together. Thanks for sharing. -
Magic you say? Can I ship you my 64 underbody so you can use your magic wand on it too?

Another cool car from your productive bench Mr McNutt. It's watching so many of your builds and the fascinating stories that encouraged me to migrate from Nascar to road / endurance racing builds. Keep posting builds and putting them in context with the stories. I learn so much from you. -
I have received my kit so I am set to do Cobra Roadster #1 as committed. I also have HRM wheels and tires and a driver figurine I'll try to fit in just for fun. I might have to add a bit of chin in hommage to the great Mr. Miles Body mods should be fun with the significant fender flares and swiss cheese style nose. If anybody has specific info on the configuration of the 427 engine and IP layout please share.

Underbody work on this kit feels more like butchery than surgery but has to get done. Courage my friend!

Tiger Cobra Duo

Next is the 2 engines starting with the Cobra. I'm starting with the kit engine but plan to dress it up a bit. Oil pan is from Harold Bradford (HRM). Ron Olsen designed Webber carbs made by Shapeways. Distributor from Connkur, a bit large but beautifully made. I plan to add Protect oil breathers. I also plan to add some fuel lines but a simpler routing than the oft seen 4 branch distribution (there's only so much my old eyes and fat fingers can handle). I also plan to add a coolant overflow reservoir and associated plumbing. Here's what I got so far, it's a start
