  1. The wagon is coming along nicely Bob. I like the idea with the side mirrors. I have left those mirrors off some builds because I hated fooling with them. What size hole/wire did you use?
  2. Got the body painted. It's not perfect but it's ok. I don't try to get that show car paint job, mine are just for the shelf anyway. No clear on it yet.
  3. I've got a Salvino's generic 71 Dodge NASCAR kit. Also have decals for the number 11 Buddy Baker Dodge. I think he drove a white one and a red one. From the photos I can find the red one looks to have blue wheels and interior (Petty blue?) It's hard to tell about the interior from the photos I can find, anyone know for sure if the interior was blue?
  4. I like green. I did my 55 in green, but this one is a little different. I trying for the candy look.
  5. Thanks Bob. Here in Georgia if you ain't got no tread on your tires and get stopped by the GSP, you getting a ticket. ?
  6. Looking good. The stance looks great. I just started a 66 Nova myself.
  7. Lots of Nova's being built lately so I decided to get in on it. This is the AMT 66 Nova. The kit gives mixed signals as to where it is a pro street or pro stock. The kit only has slicks for the rear but I found these treaded meats in my parts box so I'm going to make it street legal. Color will be Createx transparent green over a base of Rustoleum bright coat. All comments welcome, thanks for looking.
  8. Looks great. Love it.
  9. Beautiful. Nice work.
  10. Very nice.
  11. Looks great. Nice job.
  12. Cool story........watch the video at the end. https://infoditore.info/2021/06/15/she-has-driven-the-same-57-chevy-for-60-years-and-it-still-looks-brand-new/
  13. Thanks Carl. Thank you. Thank you.
  14. That same one is in the AMT 55 Chevy Bel-air also.
  15. Fun kit. I think the front end sits too high, but I didn't try to get it any lower. I did get the rear slicks to tuck into the fenders a little more by shortening the rear axle. I cut as much as I could out without having to modify other components but they still stick out too far IMO.
  16. Calling it done. Photos under glass.
  17. Yes, you are correct. I knew it was something that was mismatched about the block and head. Memory getting bad in my old age.
  18. 55 Chevy.........
  19. The 65 Impala was the first to offer the 396, the 409 was discontinued early in 65. Foose instructions here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1519791/Revell-Foose-65-Chevy-Impala.html#product-FOOSE 65 CHEVY IMPALA
  20. Yep, Vega. I had a 73. Aluminum block and head, it warped if it got just a little hot. My cousin also had one that we stuck a 427 in and took to the local dragstrip, it was a mean little runner.
  21. I really don't want to start over, ready to get it done and move on to something else. I've got a 66 Nova Pro Street I want to start on. I think I will try to hide the ugly with some of the decals.
  22. Messed up the body. I forgot to glue on the front valance before I painted the body, so I painted it separate and tried gluing it on, I spilled glue all over the right front fender. I tried sanding and repainting the area but it didn't work out too good. Debating whether to put in the purple pond and start over or just let it be as is. Looks pretty bad.
  23. Joe Bonamassa covers Muddy Waters I Can't Be Satisfied..............
  24. Thanks Mike. This was my first time using the transparent colors. Thanks Carl.
