That's a gem you got there. You did such a nice job. Nice to see a rare kit in the lime light again. Thanks for sharing -
As a vw beetle and T1 fan, I like what you did with this one. Great color combo. I like the little signs, nice touch,

Great job on the Chevelle, lot of details on the engine. I like the color and finish, not to mentioned the very well rendered underside.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. Glad to see others appreciate the pure design of the LP400. I will post my second favorite lambo, the miura soon.

Really nicely done and it made me smile. In my line of work , I've seen this happened many times. Amazing little details make this diorama alive with a neat story. ?

Once again Pierre, you did this car justice, it looks like the real one. I agree, Tamiya kit are always a joy to build. Like you I prefer the older style from the 60 and 70's. Great job on the paint and livery. -
Great looking VW. Did not know about these kits. Great paint job. Too bad about the missing part.

Revell 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham
happy grumpy replied to Sidney Schwartz's topic in Model Cars
For having built this kit, I can attest to its difficulty. Yours turned out quite nice. Great paint job and nice color choice, goes right with the era. -
Thanks bob, the trunk comes with the open trunk option like the Revell 58 chevy , it's a nice addition for those who want to use it.

Great job on this build. After seeing yours, I will add this kit to my list.

Now that's something cool, great idea and the results is awesome. Thanks for sharing this.

Super cool cuda. Nicely detailed engine bay. I like the b/w combo and the paint is smooth and glossy.

My favorite Countach, the one without the side skirts' front air dam or rear spoiler. Just the pure lines of a beautiful design. Not as aerodynamically stable as later models but boy , is it beautiful to look at . The kit assembles pretty much like any Japanese kit but , the doors are not so easy to fit. I chose to glue them shut and even then I had a hard time to have them fit, if you look closely you'll se that the passenger door does not shut properly and after a while I decided to leave it at that for fear of making a mess. The crooked license plate is my fault, will have to correct that. Tamiya camel yellow and TS13 clear were use. Currently working on it's sibling , the miura from hasegawa. Thanks for looking.

Thanks Helmut, to be honest , Revell could have done better with the tail lights, they are not as good as the rest of the kit but I'm just glad it turned out ok. Thanks Tom. Yes the interior is ts 21 gold, Exterior is titanium gold TS 87. Thanks David , I appreciate it.

Really nice, great color choice and that engine looks pretty good too.?

You really started the year with a bang. The olds looks pretty good in that color. Beautiful interior, great job.

Thanks Steve Thanks Eric Thanks Harry, Yes, I use Tamiya panel liner on grilles and panel lines. Thanks Hector. Thanks Andrew. Thanks Bob, my brain cells misfired again, I meant to say titanium gold TS87. The base coat was silver leaf from Tamiya also. When I want a darker shade, I use black as a base coat. Thanks Tom. Thanks David. Thank you for pointing that out Samuel. I corrected this as best I could but like you said they are less than perfect I guess Revell ran out of budget when it came to rear lenses. Anyway here's a photo after my feeble attempt my shaky hands could allow. At least it looks a little better. Thanks.

Wow Anders, that paint job is awesome and so's the color. Aoshima rebox a lot of kits from different manufacturers so it's kind of hit and miss but you did turned it in a beautiful looking car.
