  1. I was thinking that same thing. Kowalski . I love how the car that hits the bulldozer blades at the end is a '67 Camaro.
  2. cool. Brings back memories. ?
  3. Is this a new one? I'm going to have to get that one. I had the 1:1 many years ago.
  4. Revell released several versions of this truck over the years. One version had a cap and turbine type wheels. The one that was molded in orange with the Suzuki dirt bike was the one that I remember building. I wish I knew what happened to it. My mom usually gave all that stuff to the church after I lost interest in it. I had a lot of those original G.I Joes that I got as hand me downs from my older cousin that are probably worth a small fortune now. The space capsule, the tan Jeep, ect. As for the model. I really don't remember that much about building it apart from the color. It was among the first models that I spray painted as a kid. I was never a big fan of those Trans Am T tops. ?
  5. I can remember building both as a kid. I think I sprayed the Chev some kind of burgundy metallic. I remember the massive Mickey Thompson tires were really soft.
  6. This one would be a cool re issue also. With the popularity of this era square body soaring, re-releasing this one would be a license to print money for Revell. Even the vintage dirt bikes have been growing in popularity these days. Hopefully, the tooling still exists.
  7. Long overdue re-release. Revell Baja Husky
  8. Love that orange one. I have the street version from a few years ago with a resin wheel swap.
  9. Beautiful paint. ?
  10. I have a better plan. I only buy Testors and Tamiya lacquer paint now.
  11. Thats a good theory that I never tried but I'm so used to getting burned by these kind of things where they make you fill out a thousand pages of paperwork designed to put your identity at risk and make the whole ordeal not even worth it (do you think thats by accident?) For 8 dollars they can stick that can in an undisclosed body part.
  12. I used to have a container with some enamel thinner and a bunch of those nozzles soaking in it. I must have used them all up. I'll have to start a new one. The thing about the 2x nozzles is that they designed them so that you cant do that with them. I like the old nozzles.
  13. I started that one a few years back. Never did finish it.
  14. I've been bending them every which way. I think I mite try that rubber band idea.
  15. If I can remember, one of them that didn't work at all was satin black. One of the others might have been flat black but I'm not 100% sure about that one. some of those chrome look paints seem to work pretty well but I don't think those are the 2x cans. The clear seems to also work so far. I'd stay away from the black colors for some reason. At this point, I can't say if it's the nozzle or the paint that is the problem. Or maybe a combination of the 2.
  16. I can remember having both the black one and the red one as a kid but I don't remember finishing either one.
  17. I started this one a few years ago but never finished it.
  18. They make the best 8 dollar doorstop on the market.
  19. That sounds about right. I can remember a few months ago (I think it was satin black) Brand new full can went to spray it....Nothing heated it with water, took the nozzle off poked around with tooth picks, pins anything I could find. would up banging on the top with a hammer........Nothing, not even a drop of paint came out. 8 dollar doorstop, right in the trash. FULL CAN. Learned my lesson.
  20. That's the thing about this nozzle. It's designed not to clear out when held upside down. It is my firm belief that whoever took control of this company years ago, had some marketing genius (rip off artist) invent a nozzle that would effectively rip off the end user (us) while making the company more money. They probably gave that guy a corner office. A bad business model in the long term good for them in the short term. I'm completely done with this stuff.
  21. Don't get me started on this topic. I stopped counting the number of brand new cans of this stuff I threw directly into the trash because they would not spray at all. Flushing like 8 bucks down the toilet every time. If the nozzle looks like this, I will not buy it period. Sometimes I put it down to I waited too long to use it but on more than one occasion, the can would not spray at all the very day I brought it home from the store. Never again!
  22. no. The smaller stand that you usually see people painting the main body of the model. Those spring loaded clips seem like they want to stretch the body out like there is too much tension on it or something.
  23. That sounds like a good tip. Thanks
  24. Not really. should I put some kind of tape on the springs to add some grip or something?
