  1. The last episode of American Pickers. They were out in L.A. and picked a 3 generation special effects family that had tons of scratch built cars, trucks and trains in 1/6 scale and bigger. all from well known movies. They buy a 1/6 square body GM truck and a '65 Impala from the Mothman prophecies and an airstream trailer.
  2. I wouldn't mind finding one of those KTM kits. I'm a little apprehensive about ordering anything from Japan. I've been burned once before and I'm lucky to have gotten anything back. So never again. Besides, the shipping is often more than the item. As for the Dakar, whatever channel I used to watch the highlights on, went to a channel that they want me to pay for now so that's the end of that. Discovery just did the same thing with The Repair Shop so that's the end of that too. I don't even know where the hold that race anymore. I know it's nowhere near Paris or Dakar. Last year it was in south America or something.
  3. I also noticed that there was no 429 SCJ air cleaner decal so that makes sense
  4. Thanks
  5. so does this one come with a 429 Cobra Jet as well? I cold have sworn I saw a set of what looked like Boss 426 valve covers with it on a vid from youtube. I would assume this was from a drag version?
  6. I got some from Casey. Thanks.
  7. I see a lot of these off road motorcycle kits on ebay. The vintage KTM, Honda CR, Suzuki RM etc. Just about every one of them is over in Japan. Is there a reason other than nobody buys them here that we never get them in the states?
  8. The smaller one is the handle of the spoon. It didn't go so well. Couldn't get it to bend right after I would heat it.
  9. This one came with the vintage 1/16 Chevy off road truck kit. I figured I would at least start on the bike a wile so I got all the parts together only to find that the front fender was missing. After much panicking, I remembered I had seen someone on this board scratch build a transmission/firewall tunnel using a plastic spoon. I had just gotten one from the Chinese restaurant and remembered it. I scratch built a front fender from the spoon. Hope it doesn't end up looking too bad.
  10. Last of the great air cooled, drum braked bikes. ?
  11. Like the one I had way back when.
  12. If were going with new tooling I love the vintage dirt bikes.
  13. Looks great. I might have to track down one of these kits.
  14. Sweet! ?
  15. Chameleons. Strange times. Full album.
  16. Came to the door minutes ago. This is going to be a nice one. The 1/16 off road chevy with dirt bike. Great shape and everything is there. I feel like a kid again. Can't wait to get started on this one but still have a few more on the bench. First thing I have to do is get rid of those Trans Am T tops?
  17. So is this kit ever going to come to the states or have I already missed out on it?
  18. Cool. Love the Endless Summer poster in the back. ? ?
  19. Stopped off at the dollar store (now the $1.25 store) to get some chepo paint brushes for my flocking adhesive. Always alot of stuff for model building there. These glass bottles are the exact same ones you get in the hobby store only smaller which is good because I often only mix some colors up in smaller amounts. Always hit the dollar store.
  20. This one came out really nice. ?
  21. Well, look what finally came in the mail today. Now I'll have to run out and get some chepo brushes and I can finally start my flocking.
