  1. I did some modifications on 2, 1/18 diecast of this car. Always been a big fan of this one.
  2. This one (if I remember correctly) appears to be the more deluxe model with working stove and refridgerator . mine had a sink where the stovetop is and an ice chest. Thats what the gas bottle underneath is for.
  3. Untill someone comes out with the wide eye front end type of kit with all the bells and whistles ready to go in the kit , I have already given up on this dream.
  4. I had to go back and tark another look at those braided lines. Nice touch. ?
  5. I never checked the book for PA. I don't think I could take that shot if it was with it being so rare and all. Besides, my family and friends would would probably not be happy with me if I did and it's gotta be some kind of bad mojo or something to shoot one.
  6. As far as I can remember, they got the regular seats correct but they seem to have nailed the Westfalia plaid pattern pretty good as well if you had the tan interior. I still plan to put them in when I finally get mine even though the 1:1 I had was the orange with the green plaid interior. This is just a googled photo but this is exactly how I remember it. Mine was covered with surfing stickers. I wonder if I could get someone to make me some. ?
  7. I have been watching these vintage car auctions for some years now and I get more and more shocked every year for the last couple at the ridiculous money these first gen Broncos, Blazers and Chevy pickups are bringing. This weekend at BJ auction one first gen Bronco almost made it to $300,000 and it didn't even have a roof! The first gen Blazers are now into the $200,000 range. Its as if people aren't even looking at the musclecars anymore. This should come as welcome news to those of us that like to build 4x4 trucks. The model companies should be pumping out more and more before this fad inevitably dies and they have us building electric cars or something.
  8. I'm also using an Android phone. My desktop is an HP.
  9. My cousin has a cabin on state game land in upstate PA. Sometimes some of his inlaws would stay and hunt with us and this one time this one guy got a blotchy sort of buck. It was interesting because the pattern on the one one side was a mirror image of the white blotches on the other side. I may have even taken a picture of it. I'll have to go and look. This was back when you had to take the film to the drugstore and wait for them to develop it.
  10. If thats what the Revell kits front end looked like than count me out. I could make that out of a regular VW kit and a Dremel with a cutoff wheel. No wonder Revell only shows the rear of the bug on most of the box art. I'm looking for more of the wide eyed type of front end.
  11. Sometimes I'm on my desktop and sometimes on my smartphone.
  12. I like the press because sometimes you need to hold the work at a perfect 90 degree anglebut I really should pick up one of those pin vices. I would imagine they would be good for engine wiring and such.
  13. I gotta keep my eye open for one of those Dremel drill presses. I didn't even know the had them. The drill press I use wont accept the really small bits that the Dremel will.
  14. It seems to be getting worse. In some cases, its as if the ad didn't load correctly and now you have a long blank page. Super annoying.
  15. I sent them the email but somethin is wacky with my phone email and It seems like I'm not getting any emails. Gotta get my niece to look at it this weekend if I don't get snowed in tomorrow. These millenials know electronics.
  16. I just googled it. About 1 in 30,000
  17. Seeing one of those has to have some hidden meaning or something. I also have an Albino deer story. The first year I went buck hunting with my dad and uncle and 1 cousin, I had to be around 15 and I had herd stories of pure white deer but had never seen one. Must have been the 2nd day in (upstate PA) I'm with my dad and we see this heard of about 15 or so deer we weren't close enough to see any antlers and didn't get a shot but my dad made a sharp noise to make them all stop and he points out a pure white doe to me. We stood there in amazement for a minute. I have never seen one since. Saw plenty of the patchy ones but never a pure white on again. I went around for years thinking these things were very common. Turns out their not.
  18. Of course it's in Japan. Like all the good motorcycle models.
  19. I saw that one. I could buy a 1:1 of that for that much (maybe 30 years ago). ?
  20. Appropriate song for the North East this weekend. Galaxie 500. Snowstorm.
  21. Now my email wont work. ?
  22. I'll wait untill they are open again
  23. That's way past what I'm willing to pay. I just bought my quota of high dollar vintage kit for the year with that 1/16 Chevy pickup. It seems like just about every aftermarket company is shut down temporarily for some reason or another right now.
