I've been stopping by these Walgreens and CVSs and they keep telling me they aren't going to be getting any. A friend of mine out in LA told me all the pharmacies out there all have signs saying NO MASKS. So where are they?

What would YOU like to see as a model
Mike C. replied to JeroenM3's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
For got about this one. 1977 Harley Davidson XLCR. It wasn't the fastest bike or the best performing but it was about the coolest looking bike that ever was. I liked how they had the white letter tires on the entire lineup that year. Not very popular when they came out, now a days the collectors are clamoring for them . -
Karl Hendricks Trio. Dead Flowers

Thanks. Done.

Thanks but all I could find was a round headlight 1978 grill. Rookie is still the only one who makes a '73, '74 grill.

Thanks. Is there a link? My Google search is not turning up anything.

The cable company. AGAIN!

I know about the Rookie resin one. But the owner seems to have shut down the operation a wile ago. The grill I found d on ebay is a little iffy. I have 2 of those Firestone kits waiting to see if I can find an aftermarket '73,'74 grill if they ever make them again. I even have an add in the wanted section with 0 responses so far. I do see the vintage kit on ebay from time to time bit as you can imagine the price is in the stratosphere. I would add to the list that they should keep pumping out versions of the first Gen. Broncos (even though I'm more a fan of the 2nd gen) simply because they.are so popular right now. I don't see people getting sick of them anytime soon. This would be good for the whole hobby.

My list stays basically the same. 1. Revell Baja Husky motorcycle. 2. Revell 1/16 Off road Chevy pickup with dirtbike. 3. Monogram 1/24, 2nd generation Blazer. Maybe with updated graphics. 4. AMT 2nd generation. Bronco (witch is expected this spring). 5. That '74 or '75 Ford longbed pickup (whoever made that one)

1/16 Revell Big Bad Van Chevy Custom Van
Mike C. replied to Casey's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Now the movin' out van seams to be more recognizable (albeit a little bizarre looking). I have seen a side door open like that.on a show only van at Carlisle years ago.and couldn't help but wonder if the paint got ruined every time they opened it onto the pavement. I don't know how the public would receive a reissue like this today. Especially with that questionable grill. I do know I would probably buy one and worry about the grill later. Thanks for posting Casey. -

I would imagine it shares the DNA with the movin' out van. -

That's pretty nice. I like how the entire roof comes off to show your interior work. But that fugly grill is a total deal breaker for me. Utherwise, I would be all over it. If one of those 3d printer guys comes out with a more acceptable 1/16 aftermarket grill they will surely hit a home run with this one. Is this going to be a reissue? I don't believe I remember seeing it from years ago. -
Looking good. Watching this one. ?

Bongwater. Splash 1 (13th Floor Elevators cover)

The entire dirvetrain can be used if you want to convert it to 4x4. I suppose you could use the frame as well but you would have to lengthen it to work correctly. Wait untill Hobby Lobby has them on sale. They are great for parts. I like the mirrors too. The Revell is 1/24 but I suppose you could work with it as well.

Volkswagen T2 Bus
Mike C. replied to mrmike's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Mine was either a '77 or '78. It did have the access panel above the engine, under that bedding pad. Mine was probably the base model. One thing I do remember was it had one of the most unreliable fuel injection systems I have ever seen. After I replaced all of the injectors and fuel system type stuff (I even installed an exhaust headder), I took it to 2 different so call Volkswagen specialists who could do nothing to help me. Both basically agreed that I needed a new "brain" (not in my head ?) I was the electronic box that controlled the injection system. The downside was that it was really expensive and there was no guarantee that even the new one would work correctly. So I cut my losses and sold it for $800. Now they are worth a small fortune ?.
