  1. I'll wait untill they are open again
  2. That's way past what I'm willing to pay. I just bought my quota of high dollar vintage kit for the year with that 1/16 Chevy pickup. It seems like just about every aftermarket company is shut down temporarily for some reason or another right now.
  3. Theres one on ebay but its 1/32. ?
  4. They said there is no website.
  5. Maybe Revell will re issue their Baja racer valvoline bug someday. ?
  6. the last post on that thread was back in 2015. I'm guessing I'm a little late for that party. ☹️
  7. Has any company ever come out with a vintage Baja Bug kit. Are the too rare now?
  8. Disposable paint brushes, tooth picks, wire cutters, Dremel............
  9. That's not a bad idea but I think I would wash with mild (non silicone) detergent and water and allow to dry before painting.
  10. They also have a few other versions on their site.
  11. Grifters. Cigarette.
  12. Just ordered one on Hobbylinc.com . https://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/rvl/rvl67676.htm
  13. If you have been waiting for the Westfalia version like I have, I was just able to order it from Hobbylinc.com. https://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/rvl/rvl67676.htm
  14. Just got this one. Straight to the mock ups thread.
  15. I just got this one from ebay. With the leaf spring front suspension, it practically begs to have 4 wheel drive under it. Already have wheels and tires picked out. But this is for a future build. Took some inspiration from google pics.
  16. Noting special about the box art but if I were ever given the chance to get this model for cheap, I would probably build it exactly like it is on the box. I have never done that before. I might be tempted to find a more modern rat motor to swap out the old 409. Even the stance looks about right.
  17. I keep going back to take another look at this truck. There's not a bad angle. Are the five slots from Fireball as well? This might be my favorite build of the year so far. ?
  18. Really nice. I like the chains on the tailgate. ?
  19. Here's a little trick I like to do. I got a 3 pack of different size drives that allow you to use sockets on your drill. Any hardware store should have these. Now you find the socket with the correct outer diameter, attach it to your drill and spin it on your pice of sandpaper on a flat surface. Reverse the and repeat until you get the desired effect. You can even angle the drill a bit if you like. For the sidewalls, I found that these plastic ice cream containers with a screw on lit works nicely when you put some sand in with your too new looking tire. Then shake until you are satisfied.
