  1. I gotta order some brown for the cabinetry and that rifle and over under shotgun is too nice not to throw in there. Although our rifles were always in nice cases like you would put a guitar in . As for the BMF, my research (pics on google) shows very little stainless work on this era of Econoline. Windshield seems to be one of those type that is held in by black rubber weather stripping. Still plenty to do.
  2. Just opened the color matched adhesive. It's red instead of the royal blue we ordered. Way to go Flock it. Now I get to wait until some time in January to do my flocking. I should have sold this kit when I had the chance. ?
  3. Got the clear coat on all the body parts are done. I put the hinges on a piece of masksking tape and taped the whole thing to a hanger for painting.
  4. Been going back to the earlier stuff from Spiritualized and Spacemen 3.
  5. I already have the blue flocking now waiting for the color matched adhesive to arrive. It's on back order. The wheels are made by Casey. I'm currently waiting for him to make 3 more sets for me to fit some extra larger Formula Desert Dogs that I for got I had.
  6. Paint arrived earlier. Got some color on it.
  7. Incredible plumbing and wiring artistry. ?
  8. Vast improvement. I kind of like the street rake. ?
  9. After shortening down the bed a bit, it looks like I'm going to be able to use that sink. Maybe even that period correct wedge tube TV.
  10. You're nailing these 440 six packs! ?
  11. 23 cents a gallon. Now that's period correct! ?
  12. I can see that now that you say that. I'm hopping that can be fixed with an emery board. Already test fitted the windshield several times with this overhead console. This time I ordered some of that glue specifically for clear parts. I may have over extended the bed. I might go back and shorten that a bit.
  13. Still test fitting things. Gonna be a wile waiting for my paint and flocking to get here in the thick of the Christmas shipping season.
  14. The bed in these kits are a little short if you wanted to actually sleep in one of these so I cut one an inch and a half longer to be more realistic. The marker line is the old bed.
  15. Well while I'm waiting for my paint and flocking to arrive I went and picked up some 6mm styrene tubing and fabricated some tube bumpers. Drying now. Waiting for paint.
  16. what ever is easier for you. I've always loved the 1/18 '67 from ERTL. They do a 427 and a 396. That one was done really nice. looks good with mags as well. Nobody has ever done a '65 in 1/18 so I got this one.
  17. Look great. Beautiful paint. I like you effect for the air cleaner foam.
  18. Thanks guys. I'm definitely going with this stuff.
  19. Thanks for the tip Brian. Is the adhesive recommended Or can you use the elmers glue? I find those glass parmesan cheese bottles with the holes work nicely. Then I do it over newspaper so I can put the excess back in the bottle.
  20. My friend had a GS 400back in high school. Bought it off a little old lady for $2,500 back in the early 80s. White/blact int., black vinyl top, post coup The thing looked like it just drove out of the showroom. A drunk driver removed it from the earth Halloween night 1986. My friend went to go collect his stuff out of the car after he got out of the hospital. He couldn't even save the star wars air cleaner. ?
  21. This kit comes with one. It's a hold over from the vintage Supervan of the 70s. I'll probably end up putting it in.
  22. Well after a little diecast grinding, I was able to fit the earlier grill but not perfect. Watch out this stuff can get quite hot when you take the Dremel to it. Ouch!
  23. I just came from there for some styrene tubing and to get my niece a last minute Christmas present. I think I'm sticking with the flocking. I was tempted to buy a scale flat screen TV with remote from the dollhouse section but then I figured it wouldn't be period correct for a 70s van.
  24. It's definitely getting repainted some kind of orange with a black top. Its also a prime candidate for those Aoshima wheel/tire sets. I'd like to put an earlier (76) grill. I'm hoping that works out.
