    I've been using this Tamiya lacquer and I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Still have to lower the back end slightly and tweak the bed to fit correctly.

    I was meaning to post these the other night. I suppose these should go in the long abandoned projects thread but it's a truck so I'll just put in here. I also did a blue street version that I posted a while ago. They both started out like this one but I stripped the paint and now here's the 4x4.

    love that VW! I Remember seeing on similar to it a few years back at the annual WW2 weekend at Reading airport. I have since lost all those pics ☹️. Those P-51s were loud!

    I think I can even fit my rat motor without having to open up that hood scoop. The Chevelle buckets and console look right at home and that straight axel might work if I choose to go all out.

    I've been watching one on ebay that's already up near 130. 00 with a full day left. Already out of my price range. I built that one as a kid also.

    I do use the coat hangers and sort of hang parts from them but in some cases, you cant hang stuff. I like how that Tamiya stand sort of holds the insides of the body with what looks like spring tension.

    Thats the one. I think my local hobby lobby is a victim of the supply chain. I'm tired of the old empty spray paint can with a piece of tape that ends up falling over and destroying my paintjob method. Those things look like just the thing I need.

    Were are you guys getting those stands that hold the car of truck body while you are painting them? I thought for sure I could pick one up at hobby lobby when I popped over there last weekend but couldn't find any. Is they're a good and a bad place to get them?

    I didn't notice any irregularities with the cab in my copy. I'm working with an earlier one (AMT) and a more recent one (MPC) but they are basically the same model. The AMT is cast in grey wile the MPC is cast in white.

    You being the2nd person to say that has made me think that I may shelf this project before it gets off the ground. I'll have plenty of time to weigh my options while I work on my 10 other projects.

    Thanks Steve. That would have driven me nuts ?. I didn't watch enough fall guy back in the day to know that one. I do remember that these kits were based on the fall guy truck. I'm definitely going with that same tan interior on this build.
