  1. Man! This is really looking good.
  2. Captain safety I meant to say.
  3. It's a little grainy, but that was the technology of the time. Caption safety I wasn't. ?
  4. I was thinking that same thing! ?
  5. Rattle can. I never did advance to the airbrush. I got them off of ebay many years ago and had forgotten that I had gotten so many sets. I found them in a poorly lit shelf on my bench (desk). I remember they looked to me like the old Monster Mudders from the 70s and had to have them. I used to hound my dad to put them on everything with 4 wheel drive we ever owned. He was like "are you crazy?" ? We had a cool spot where I grew up where people would all be 4 wheeling back in the woods and we would ride our motorcycles back there. Free ride era. I'll see if I can find a picture.
  6. I'm aware of that concept truck but from time to time you see where someone has put an earlier grill in a 2nd jen Bronco. I just like the look Of the '73 truck. My cousin bought one new back in '73. It was about the most heavy duty truck I had ever seen out of the factory. It was an F 250 a custom, no chrome rubber mating on the floor, big 4 speed sticking out of the floor all business. It even had that sealed knuckle Dana rear in the front. It was a beast of a truck. Only thing he put on it were Stewart Warner 2" oil presser and amps gauges. It was this really cool factory lime green color.
  7. I like them with the '73 grill. ?
  8. Now that I found these wheel/tire sets last night, I'm toying with ideas. I'm thinking metallic blue for the Ford, some kind of orange for the GMC. ?
  9. I remember getting them off of ebay. This was so long ago that I completely forgot that I bought so many sets. I can only remember seeing the Aoshima set on that 4 door Toyota Hilux recently. The really big Set is from the So Real '75 Blazer I posted a few weeks ago. I was thinking of saving them for a 1/18 project. Clean off your benches boys! You never know what you forgot you had. Especially when you get past 55. ?
  10. Can't wait for this one. I have my tires and wheels (thanks Casey) for the first one and since I found all these last night you can bet the 2nd one will get a set of the Aoshimas .
  11. Sorry about all the redundant photos, I think my phone has gone haywire. ?
  12. Last night while searching for one of the headers for the future1/16 Nomad project I'm amassing for, I found all of these. Off road tire/wheel sets that I completely forgot I bought many years ago. Now I have to find some projects to use them on. This morning I raced out to the Lobby (they still have 40 percent off model kits) and grabbed a Firestone F 150. I have some extra blue metallic that would look nice.

    1969 corvette

    Stunning! ?
  14. I wish I could get my interiors to look that good. ?
  15. This ones looking good. ?
  16. Last night I ordered 1 of those 1/16 AMT 1955 Chevy Nomad kits while there are still some left. The prices are already starting to climb and as with all these big scale kits will probably go into the stratosphere eventually. I already have just about every part waiting (dual quad chevy rat motor with headders, wheels, tire choices etc. in 1/18) to make it into a 60s-70s Saturday night cruiser with a slight gasser look to it. It should be a fun build.
  17. This one is really continuing to look incredible. Love that vinyl top and the redlines look perfect. Good stuff. ?
  18. Still no answers. I'm thinking maybe I should repost the original thread and then I can fix my bad spelling.
  19. I went back and looked. Welly makes these. I seem to remember the same one available in blue also.
  20. Thanks Mike. I cant remember who makes these I'll have to go find the box and see. The wheels and tires it came with were pretty ugly and nobody makes a '65 in 1/18 so I got this one. I always liked the tailights on the '65 . Its funny It says SS on the box but it's missing the SS badging on the front fender. That's China for ya.
  21. Another one that I got pretty far on is this 1970 Challenger T/A. Pretty much everything is painted except for the 340 short block.
  22. I just added Cragar SS and white letter tires.
  23. The Torq Thrusts look perfect! ?
  24. '69, my favorite year Vette especially when it's in Monaco Orange with the L89 427 with the side pipes. I really like that Motion style stinger hood on that one. That will be a really cool look. A set of Torq Thrust Ds and some white letter bias plies and that's the ultimate dream Vette for me. I even prefer the look of the aftermarket side pipes to the factory ones. ?
  25. Okay. I think I resurrected the right thread this time. Almost all of my stalled projects are the result of the subject coming out in 1/18 diecast. I like these mainly because I don't have the opportunity to mess up the paint job. Also I've been making resin mags in 1/18 and such for a long time. This is the case with the Myers Manx. Classic dune buggy. In a rare occasion, I was quite pleased with how the paint job turned out. It would be a shame to let it sit on the shelf after I got this far on the build. I'm pretty set on these tires and I'm leaning heavily towards the Torq Thrusts. I think it may be time to resurrect this project.
