  1. Another one that I got pretty far on is this 1970 Challenger T/A. Pretty much everything is painted except for the 340 short block.
  2. I just added Cragar SS and white letter tires.
  3. The Torq Thrusts look perfect! ?
  4. '69, my favorite year Vette especially when it's in Monaco Orange with the L89 427 with the side pipes. I really like that Motion style stinger hood on that one. That will be a really cool look. A set of Torq Thrust Ds and some white letter bias plies and that's the ultimate dream Vette for me. I even prefer the look of the aftermarket side pipes to the factory ones. ?
  5. Okay. I think I resurrected the right thread this time. Almost all of my stalled projects are the result of the subject coming out in 1/18 diecast. I like these mainly because I don't have the opportunity to mess up the paint job. Also I've been making resin mags in 1/18 and such for a long time. This is the case with the Myers Manx. Classic dune buggy. In a rare occasion, I was quite pleased with how the paint job turned out. It would be a shame to let it sit on the shelf after I got this far on the build. I'm pretty set on these tires and I'm leaning heavily towards the Torq Thrusts. I think it may be time to resurrect this project.
  6. Ditto
  7. Sorry to the Mopar guys about leaving the valve covers chrome (it also looks like I installed them upside down). The build was many years ago and I have learned a lot since. ?
  8. I'll get it right eventually . ?
  9. These things come already painted so I cant mess up the paint job.
  10. The yellow one is a 1970 GSX. The green one is a 1970 T/A Challenger. I lost interest after I put a set of HW61 rallyes on my old ERTL 1/18.
  11. I guess this one is kind of finished but I was hoping to find a nice looking set of Mopar Rallye wheels and white letter tires but I wound up just buying a 1/18 GMP '70 Roadrunner. This one has a Hemi but I would have preferred 440 + 6 .
  12. I really messed up the clearcoat on the judge. It was cast in orange so I thought I could just spray clear over it. I wound up abandoning these because I replaced them with 1/18 diecasts so the plastic ones have been sitting in the closet ever since.
  13. I think I may have misunderstood the jist of the thread. I'll have to look up the other thread.
  14. I can't believe that I would leave those Mopar valve covers chrome. I would have.never done that today. Can you tell I'm a fan of that FJ5 green?
  15. During this build I lost 1 complete taillight, 1 mirror and both of those hood hold downs . Once I hear it hit that hardwood floor, I know its probably gone forever. ?
  16. Its funny you say that. The tree that I took most of the engine parts from has a 2 piece power master cylinder still on it that I kept looking at. I'm also running open headers now. Maybe I'll give it some exhaust down the road.
  17. Thanks Casey
  18. Is it possible to add tags to an old thread?
  19. Oops. I need to go back and give it a top radiator hose. My days of doing the ignition wiring are over. I can barely pull it off on 1/18 any more. Some of the small parts That I left off are lost forever to the floor monster. ?
  20. Finally finished with my CJ5. I dichef the 4 banger for a Chevy small block I sourced from the '84 GMC pickup. I'm going to need to go back and fix that windshield that I got Glue all over. I'm definitely getting some of that clear window Glue in the future. I attempted to age the vintage surfboards by soaking them in Tea but I guess this plastic is less porous than I thought. Tried to at least add stringers to them. I put masking tape down the center and planed to use it a a guide but then my fine felt tipped pen dried up on me.
  21. Truly amazing work! Great subject matter as well. I love the working lamps, street lights and headlights . This diorama is going to be phenomenal. ?
