    Okay, I'm still doing the AMT Boondocker Blazer. I'm down to my last decal for the rear passenger side one so I gotta make this one count. I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything I'm supposed to. Maybe I have the timing wrong. I'm letting each decal soak in the warm water (with a drop on Dawn dish soap) for about 1 minute. Then I lay it on a dry paper towel for about 30 seconds. I then brush on the Micro set solution onto the body. Then I attempt to slide it onto the body, but it seems like its curling all up every time. The vintage decal started to split while it was still soaking. The 2 decals I'm happy with, I Q-tipped some of the Micro Sol solution. I have looked at numerous AMT instruction sheets and I'm not finding any AMT specific decal recommendations. Does the problem lie in my timing?

    I thought about that with a pen or something like that, but I'd rather go the easier route. I can see myself easily screwing that up.

    Just picked up the MPC '70 Super Bee kit on eBay. Won't be here for a few days. It's got the 440 six pack I love so much and that cool pistol grip 4 speed. Got an extra set of Rallyes in the stash for this one.

    I need 2 really small (I'd say about 6mm) circles to mask off for painting. No way my hands are steady enough to try this with an exacto knife. I have one of those hole punches for leather that is really good for this kind of thing, but the largest hole is way too small. My next stop is the dollar store. They always have that one isle with the sticker packs for the kids. Any other source for this kind of thing?

    I attempted that, trying to turn it into a "Custom" (lower trim level), Really bad idea. I ruined one cab like that. It's a lot more difficult than it looks like it should be.

    Thanks for the link. It looks like they are still making the smaller Desert Dogs. Might have to order a set or 2, Nice steelies also as well as some nice Torq Thrusts. I notice no Goodyear Polyglas. What is it that nobody wants to touch the Polyglas? Licensing costs maybe?

    The smaller Desert Dogs (there are also larger ones) come with various kits. There used to be an aftermarket outfit that made the same ones, but I believe they are no longer in business.

    Well I got 2 more decals on and believe me, it wasno walk in the park. In the process, I completely destroyed 2 of the passenger's side, rear decals. The vintage one started to split wile it was still in the water. Now I'm down to one more before I give up on these decals all together. Now I have both the micro set and the micro sol. So far zero help withe these. I can't figure out how this was such an easy task when I was a kid. These 2 decals aged me like 10 years in the last 20 minutes. ?
