I remember having the original kit in the late 70s early 80s. but I don't ever remember if I finished it. It will be another one of those "relive my youth" things. This time I have way better wheels and tires and goodies to build it with. ?

History of Monogram's Squarebody GM Pickups
Mike C. replied to Fabrux's topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
I would buy a few of those sets if somebody made them up, especially with that Hickey hood. The Pulldozer would be good for the undercarriage alone. -

I was thinking the same thing about the motorcycle model section but they didn't have anything that blew my hair back.

My big concern would be the shipping costs to the U.S. ?

At Walmart (at least one store)
Mike C. replied to Classicgas's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Had to buy some regular items so I decided to look and see if they had any deals on modeling stuff. Well my local Walmart has gotten out of that market all together. Not a single item that has anything to do with the hobby. ? -

Got my shipment from Model Roundup. With the resin jimmy Flintstone '66 Chevy van body. Had to get the Dodge fever A 100 to use as an undercarriage. You can also use the little red wagon but they jacked the price up on that one and my Ollie's didn't have them at $9.99. 4 Accel pre-wired distributor kits and some paints.

Suede - Bloodsports. These guys were huge in 1993 but they sort of faded out and later reinvented themselves and released this album 20 years later.

Thanks but the Tamiya is close enough for me. I think I'll stick to the cheaper route.

1965 Oldsmobile 442(from an AMT '64 Olds 442) - FINISHED
Mike C. replied to crowe-t's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Amazing work! Great car too. Following this build for sure. ? -
I'm no math wiz but 6 or 7 bucks is alot less than the $40+ that the paint store would cost. Then I would have to buy a whole paint gun and mini compressor setup and pretty soon I well into the mid to upper triple digits. Now the Tamiya rattle can looks like the cheapo route.

I'm gonna go the cheapo route with the Tamiya.

Nevermind, Tamiya light green looks close enough.

Anybody have a source to get something similar that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Not sure if this is the right section for this but did Testors discontinue the line of factory color spray paint or is it just another supply line thing? I'm looking for this FJ5 mopar green but all the online supply stores seem to be out of it.

Anyone can argue why the Bronco II didn't do very well but at the end of the day it was just plain ugly. Most of the other years were so much better looking. It's the Mustang II all over again. Now when is the Wild Hoss reissue coming out? ?

I know he has some 3d printed stuff but some I believe it's a mixture of both. Tires are rubber and really nice as well.
