  1. A good look at ejector pins, and an insert for what appear to be 1/16 scale valve covers:
  2. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Resin-25th-1971-2-MPC-Plymouth-Roadrunner-Satellite-BASE-hood-by-missing-link/352560357041?hash=item52163c1eb1:g:668AAOSwPh5ZOHbU:rk:1:pf:0
  3. The Nomad has the same roof height as Hardtops, versus Sedans, which had a slightly higher roof, so the Nomad's roof would not be correct out of the box. The Revell '56 Del Ray Sedan would be a good starting point, as it has the correct height windshield. You could modify the Revell '56 Nomad's roof, tailgate, etc. to convert it into a wagon. Not sure if the Star models resin body has the correct height roof or not. The 1/24 Monogram '56 Chevy Bel Air Hardtop is rather poor, proportionately speaking, so I would recommend avoiding it completely. Correct, AMT did not release any '56 Chevy kits. The image seems distorted, and at first glance, it looks like the rear doors were removed and the entire body shortened, but looking at the driver's side window openings, I see front, rear, and rear quarter windows, so I think it's a 'normal' 2- or 4-door wagon. It's hard to tell what the front door/window length is, but I would guess it's a 2-door wagon, based upon what I see in the picture. Here's a chart to help you determine what it is/was:
  4. Someone with both kits on hand must've test fit the frame and floorpan parts from the Revell '68 Chevelle inside the Revell SnapTite '70 Chevelle SS 454 body with the interior in place....
  5. I thought about the unibody aspect, but I'm guessing the just had yet to cut the cab/bed separation line in when the photo was taken. The panel truck behind the pickup also shows a fairly unrefined upper window area, but maybe that is close to finished, with a contrasting inset area, bordered by stainless trim? The front bumper on the pickup looks very heavy and unrefined, too. I think that's an example of how the spare tire was to be stowed, inside the left bedside, behind the pickup, too?
  6. I click on the underlined "choose files", then select the images I want to upload to the forum: How are you trying to upload images now that isn't working for you?
  7. Are you uploading images directly from your phone, laptop, tablet, or some other device? Linking to an online image hosting service like Photobucket fotki, etc? I use Chrome on both my phone and laptop, and upload images from them to the forum without any issues. Same with images I have stored in my Photobucket account. I just copy the direct link to the image, and post it in the reply box here, and it automatically appears.
  8. Robert Glucksman This is a Brand new tool of the 68, then 69 Chevelle An Inspired tool from the Great Ron Rowlett... I am extremely proud of this build, & Honored to have worked with Ron.. The fit on the test shot was excellent, the seams are almost non existent. Considering the gates for this kit, well, just one more reason that Ron is the best
  9. This was the most recent reissue, released in January 2017, so it's probably out of stock at places which have a quick rate of product turnaround. Still plenty to be found online-- eBay, etc. The newer release is probably worth seeking out for the better tires, if nothing else: This version, AMT #608, was released in November 2008:
  10. Wow, that takes me back to the early days of monster trucks. I remember buying the special issue of Four Wheel & Off-Road with the color section of monster trucks... To answer your question, I've never seen that size/type of tire in 1/24 or 1/25 scale. I wish there was an early Ford Ranger in kit form.
  11. This kit was reissued not all that long ago:
  12. JC, what does the backside of wheel #2 look like? I took a pic of the wheel I have which I *think* is from the 1/25 Revell '69 Yenko 427 Camaro kit, but the plastic underneath appears to be a much brighter yellow than I recall the original issue being molded in. I still think that's the source, but not as confident now. I also found a wheel identical to the five-slot, four-lug you posted, along with the (I think) Pinto and/or Mustang II AMT or MPC 14" or 13" wheel I was thinking of (third from left, below), so I can't help much on the I.D.:
  13. Has anyone tried combining the Revell '37 Ford Pickup/Panel wheels with the center section from the AMT '36 Ford wheels?
  14. Hopefully someone copied the tire size chart before it vanished.
  15. The ground effects pieces are included in the 1/16 Revell '87 Firebird GTA kit: I've never seen the concave snowflake style '80s wheels in 1/16, either.
  16. Is there a date on the back side of the decal sheet, by chance?
  17. Must've gotten mixed up in the Canadian translator, eh? All good. Just some info regarding one of the important people in the history of MPC which I saved while doing some online research. I should probably copy and paste the entire article in case/when/if the link is lost for good.
