  1. 1996 is the earliest-dated Speedwagon kit I could find. The orange-molded '69 Camaro was part of a two-kits-in-one-box set, and the only time AFAIK the 1/25 Revell '69 Camaro was molded in orange:
  2. Thanks, Mike. Not a ton of parts to this kit, but still neat that it's available again:
  3. Chad's back, giving you the 411 on all the Round reissues:
  4. It's funny to me to hear someone refer to the rounded/areo style scoop as "old". I suppose now it is, but in '87(?) or so, this new style scoop was quite different from the more squared off scoops with predated it: The above hood scoop was found in the original 1/24 Monogram Pro Stock kit, Bob Glidden's 7-Eleven T-bird, and would look very appropriate with the angular, non-aero lines of the early Cavalier bodystyle IMHO. At any rate, good to see someone using the early GM J-body as the basis for a build.
  5. Revell Dan Fink's Speedwagon test shot:
  6. I'm going to guess this Dan Fink Speedwagon test shot is from the same era:
  7. Sounds like you received a test shot body as a replacement. Do you still have it, by chance?
  8. Maybe someone could try contacting him through facebook?: https://www.facebook.com/william.engwer
  9. IMC (Illinois Model Company) had the curbside Turbine Car, along with the '75 Olds Cutlass and '59 Rambler wagon curbside: I am fairly confident the Comet kit still exists and wasn't scrapped nor irreparably damaged. It's one one the ex-JO-HAN kits I hope that can one day be reissued.
  10. Regarding Revell U.S. molds, it sounds/reads like..: Blitz retained all molds already in China J.R. Salvino's now owns the '80-'92-ish NASCAR stuff Atlantis now owns (some? all??) molds which were only used or stored in Illinois. It's unclear to me if Blitz retained some of the molds which were stored in Illinois, however. Looking at the box sides of reissued kits might help decipher where each kit was produced, and who now likely owns the molds for each kit. For example, the recently reissued Tom McEwen R/E T/F Dragster, which is marked "PLASTIC PARTS MADE IN THE U.S.A.", so this should be in Atlantis' possession (unless Blitz retained it): 1/24 Datsun 4x4, also molded in the U.S.: Revell 1/24 Mazda RX-7: Clear as mud.
  11. True, which just highlights the excess designed into modern 4x4 pickups. I don't see it changing anytime soon, at least not until fuel prices rise again, and fuel economy standards are more difficult to achieve. "Why are our trucks so darn high, team?"
  12. When you need a grab bar/handle and multiple steps just to get into your truck's bed because the ride height is ridiculous for a truck which will never venture onto unpaved surfaces, especially with those all-season tires:
  13. The 1/4 scale engine? I don't think that'd be a great idea to reissue it, even it it did exist. $100+/kit, needs to be (well, should be) run in three colors like the original, and as you mentioned, how many die-hard Slant Six fans are out there and willing to pay for this kit? Could they even sell 500 copies? 1000?? I honestly think the secondary market can supply 99.3% of the desire for this kit. Now, if that 1/4 scale Chevy V-8 still exists...LOAD UP THE PELLETS!
  14. The Comet kit has a realistic chance of being reissued, depending upon who owns the tooling, if it's complete, etc. The Maverick is probably never going to return, though.

  16. I figure this is as good a topic as any to add pics of these front and rear six-spoke Webb wheels, as seen on this Gradall:
  17. The rear fender skirts and the ridiculously sky-high suspension is a nice combo :
  18. Revell 1992 Pontiac GTP Coupe: Monogram Lotus Esprit Sport 300: Monogram Lotus 33 GP:
  19. How about the very model pictured? Alright, who won it? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Revell-80s-Olds-Cutlass-Donk-1-25-plastic-finished-model-/302798997320?hash=item46803a0748%3Ag%3AjoQAAOSwIphbQqQ6&nma=true&si=TdL1tcmxwBcP8l%2FjiXzKD5svIiw%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
  20. Ha!, not bloody likely. After reading Daves post...: ...I realized that while I'd love to know exactly what does and doesn't exist, maybe we're all better off not knowing. A little surprise is a nice thing to experience every now and then. Revell-Monogram did reissue the ex-Aurora Ford GT kit in the late '90s, too.

  22. JO-HAN, well, as mentioned earlier, whatever was set up when the green pellets were poured in. Comet P/S: I want to say both of these were molded in green, too?: The previously mentioned Revell 1/25 '70 Mustang Grande: Previously mentioned AMT meyers tow'd:
  23. 1/32 IMC '69 Ford Torino Cobra: Hawk/IMC Touch Tone Terror: Monogram Sand Crab and Li'l Van: Monogram Leap Hog: 1/24 Monogram Super Duster F/C: 1/20 Monogram Off Road Jeep CJ7: Monogram Roar 'N Peace...the dude's flares are green: The 1/32 Monogram Dodge and Chevy vans were molded in yellow/lime or lime/yellow: 1/32 Snap Rods '68 GTO: 1/32 Monogram Ford Screamer: 1/32 Monogram '69 Hemi Charger Street Machine: Might've been mentioned earlier?:
