  1. How could you not go with Moon discs, Tom? I have some of the AMT Indy/Bonneville tires I can contribute if you decide to go with the vintage look...
  2. Thanks. The "Custom Wheel" from the AMT '65 Corvair's box does look like a match: G.M.X. Custom Wheels????
  3. I've always liked this odd Silhouette box art, with the Zerex anti-freeze product tie in:
  4. A set of both Appliance Apache and Kelsey-Hayes Stripper wheels are included in the AMT '70 Monte Carlo:
  5. The one-off piece of 'glass':
  6. Link to content images of the 1/32 AMT Scale Stars Avanto Sport Coupe reissue: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/115/amt-studebaker-avanti-sport-coupe Pics found on eBay of the vintage slot car-focused release:
  7. I thought this was going to be about cursive penmanship.
  8. Here are the guts of the section I tried to copy and paste:
  9. Michael's earlier post mentioning he copied text from a notepad, then posted it here got me wondering, as I copied the pre-formatted text from another website, and tried to paste it here, to no avail. Now, in the same topic I tried to post in earlier, I was successful, but I re-typed the entire quote this time. I suspect there might be an issue whereby pre-formatted text is not agreeing with something on the forum. *edit* Just tried copying and pasting the in-bold "UPDATE' from this page: http://culttvman.com/main/breaking-news-atlantis-buys-revell-toolings/ here in this post, and got the same 404 error.
  10. Update added to the earlier CultTVman post regarding the Atlantis news: "Earlier this year, the assets of Revell USA and Revell Germany were purchased by a German firm. The German company owns all the tooling in China and Europe. The new company also took ownership of the tooling that remained at Revell Elk Grove, IL warehouse. They kept some of this tooling an offered the remaining molds to Atlantis. Atlantis purchased hundreds of toolings. Much of the old Aurora tooling that still exists has been reissued by Revell. Most of that tooling is in China and is owned by the new Revell Germany. Atlantis has purchased what remained in the U.S. They have not specifically said what they have."
  11. Just got initiated into the 404 error club, trying to post a copied text reply:
  12. Yeah, that looks cheap, and, well, it is. Buy a quality airbrush and compressor, or look on your local craigslist or Habitat for Humanity resale store for a used one.
  13. The front 3/4 view is just as gorgeous. Here's a good start to learning more: https://heacockclassic.com/articles/evolution-of-the-american-motors-amx-the-other-american-muscle-car/
  14. Oooh, who did the Aero Willys, John?
  15. Yes, which I tried to convey: IMC had someone run plastic through the snap Turbine Car molds, so they must've had some tangible involvement with the former JO-HAN molds. Moebius was next to be involved, but publicly displaying a body shell and different colored bumpers does not provide enough info to make the leap to "we have this mold and it's ready to produce full kits." No, there are more than four: '75 Oldsmobile Cutlass Chrysler Turbine Car- EZ Builder/snap version '59 Rambler Wagon '71 Plymouth 'Cuda Pro Stock '71 Mercury Comet Pro Stock '70 Olds Cutlass '70 AMC AMX '69 AMC SC/Rambler The first three are those which IMC almost brought to market, while the last four were the Testors Hobby Shop Only (HSO) releases which Steve Goldman mentioned still exist, but didn't mention who owns those molds.
  16. Sidepipes so awesome they rendered the door inoperable, General Lee style: Also, flames. Flames must be shooting out the end of those sidepipes, too: Then, nuthin' :
  17. Winneco Industries and their Willy Wonka-esque logo got priority over Palmer on this release:
