  1. Pics of the AMT '60 Chevy Custom Fleetside's inline six-cylinder engine here: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/60/25-amt-chevrolet-custom-fleetside The AMT '60 Chevy pickup is going to be reissued at the end of 2018, so you can always buy it for the engine, and trade the balance of the kit off, too. I'm sure more than one person here would be happy to take the go kart (which will be included with the pickup) off your hands.
  2. The AMT '64 Tempest LeMans convertible has the tail lights in the tail panel rear grille: Just for kicks, here's the 1/25 Polar Lights '64 GTO front bumper and grilles piece, which looks suspiciously like the original AMT part:

  4. Yodel Dodge Monaco and Plymouth Fury:
  5. It doesn't, Gerry. Not sure if the GTO option was available on the Tempest Convertible in '64 or not (I don't think it was), but the kit is a Tempest only: http://modelkitreviews.proboards.com/thread/295/amt-1964-tempest-lemans-convertible
  6. There are two review topics here on the forum, both worth reading:
  7. It is, technically, a snap together type kit, but it does have a separate frame, engine, bucket seats, dash, etc., so it's closer to halfway between a traditional 'glue' assembly kit and the traditional snap together kits. It was originally (and is now, again) a Polar Lights kit, but RC2 pretty much clapped the AMT label on any AMT, MPC, or Polar Lights kit they packaged and sold.
  8. Why not bring Ideal Models into this, too? *edit*, Chris was way ahead of me. ^^^
  9. Now I'm wondering if it was acquired by IMC (Illinois Model Company), and/or if Moebius just showed a N.O.S. body and bumper in 2014?: Maybe Steve Goldman knows more and can comment.
  10. https://www.hemmings.com/magazine/hcc/2011/10/Staggering-Safari---1959-Pontiac-Catalina-Safari/3703831.html
  11. I do like the '65, as the vertical headlights and surrounds seem to work well with the body overall. Now, I wouldn't mind a late '70s Grand Am based ElCo, either: Can't recall what the story was with this one, posted on the GM Photostore facebook page...maybe a Beaumont mash-up of some sort?:
  12. I would agree the wheels and tires are from the AMT '59 El Camino. Are they molded in a greyish blue plastic?
  13. Here are some (admittedly not great) shots of the door handles I mentioned from the Revell '66 Chevelle wagon kit and a pair from another unknown Revell kit:
  14. I haven't been a mod here for almost three years now.
  15. I've seen a lot of good scores posted here, but this has to be one of the best, especially since they are all vintage kits. Enjoy.
  16. Only gripe is the license plate-- that style came about in the every late '80s, so unless you were born in the early '90s, it's way too new. There's still a Jeep like this at a local service station used for plowing, so your replica is spot on.
  17. Owencraft used to make cast metal exterior door handles, but it appears they are no longer in business. The Revell '66 Chevelle Wagon kit includes four chrome plated exterior door handles. Fireball Modelworks offers GM exterior handles, too, but you'll need to smooth and polish each handle before 'chroming' them:
  18. Not that I can recall. I'm pretty sure Juha Airio's stock Comet build in Car Modeler showed him filling in the non-stock hood, but that was the only time I can recall a stock Comet hood mentioned.
  19. Inca Gold is yellower, Pure Gold is browner. Here's Inca Gold over white primer, in summertime sunlight: Pure Gold: HTH
  20. I guess for me, for the most part, Revell stuff worth keeping starts in '88 or so when they started putting out better engineered kits. There are a few kits, some of which have been SSP reissues (Datsun 510 and 240Z for example) which are worth keeping, but the '53/4 Chevies, '56 Ford Pickup, etc., not so much. Looking at the current Revell catalog online, there's only one 'vintage' Revell car kit-- the Porsche 914. I think Blitz will be just fine with the '88+ subjects making up the bulk of their future catalogs. Let Atlantis' niche be the former Revell SSP style releases.
  21. If Blitz picked out what they wanted from the whole lot, and Atlantis got the remainder (excluding the vintage NASCAR stuff J.R. Salvino's took), I can't see Blitz wanting the old Revell '60s-'80s (up until the Revell and Monogram merger in '86 or so?) stuff, honestly, as the Revell 1/25 and 1/16 , and Monogram 1/24 F/C and T/F kits seem to fall more in line with Atlantis' interests. The '87+ 'modern' Revell and Monogram kits, yes, I could see Blitz keeping all of those, and I suspect most are already in China anyway. Pro Street '67 Chevelle was molded in China, Hay T-Bird and Beretta kits were molded in U.S., so sounds like anything could go either way. I wonder of Revell-AG possessed (owned?) the 1/8 scale Monogram Jag XK-E, '65 Vette, 1/12 '57 Chevy, etc, all of which were most recently released in Revell-AG packaging, but not in Revell U.S.A. packaging. Could those be at the mold facility in Poland? TL/DR: I don't know.
  22. I think so. It appears Horizon Hobby has taken the Online Store section over, which makes some sense:
