  1. Don't forget, slicks in the front and back. The Charger's side cab opening curvature is none too pleasing to the eye, so I like what you have started above using the Paddy Wagon's cab.
  2. Which Ford kit is this from?
  3. I guess you'll have to wait for an e-mail response: "I do not have access to the MC Forum any more, when it was last updated it refuses to recognise me...."
  4. I swear someone mentioned this kit or a story related to it not that long ago here on the forum, maybe something regarding all the kids being the artist's family?
  5. Looks like the Butterfly Catcher and Old Ironsides are scale siblings. Saw this one for $65 a few weekends ago, but not much of a Baja Boot fan:
  6. I sent him a message through facebook, so hopefully he'll log in and contact you.
  7. Try a PM: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/profile/14923-steven-w-zimmerman/
  8. You should build one in 1/25 scale. Nobody could say whichever pickup you start with is the incorrect one, and with all those slab sides, it wouldn't be too difficult to whip up a body shell.
  9. I was going to ask which bodies in this series of kits need to most work to take back to stock, which are entirely too far gone to even attempt such a thing, and which might be worth the effort even though more work would be involved.
  10. I'm aware. The kits and box art do seem appropriate for the time period, and there was plenty of overlap between the counter-culture and hot-rodder back then, too, so it makes sense. I'm just not convinced bringing any of the kits from this series would be a wise move. I do like the Old Ironsides and Chevy Custom pickup kits' box art, though: Nope, no references to anything with this one...:
  11. Is this box art scene supposed to depict someone picking up his girlfriend after her shift is over at the hospital, or...? I can't imagine she would be to eager to ride in a car with "MEAT WAGON" on the doors. I appreciate the counter-culture/rebellious hot rodder theme in the box art, and I bought the mako shark box myself strictly because of the art, but this is really corny:
  12. The only other Monogram kit in royal blue which comes to mind is the 1/32 Hemi Fiat, bit the only one I found appears to be a '70s reissue. I think this color is fairly true in the image, as earlier versions were much more of a steel grey-blue:
  13. I doubt any of them still exist. Not much from the Aurora purchase seems to have survived, which IMHO isn't too surprising considering how off-the-wall some of the subjects were -- I mean, '37 Packard and a '39 LaSalle hot rod hearse kits? If you want them, buy originals now.
  14. There's one on ebay right now, in case anyone is looking, and pics for future reference:
  15. I would bet it was molded near the same time as the original issue of Monogram's 1/8 '65 Corvette from 1965. Maybe they used up the royal blue plastic on the '40 Ford Pickup when the Vette run was complete? I don't recall any other '60s era Monogram automotive kits molded in royal blue, though.
  16. While I will agree the Plymouth Prowler wasn't exactly in demand for reissue, I have no doubt the Batman kit will sell well, and I think the 1/16 Honda Hawk might be interesting, too. I'm definitely looking forward to the 1/32 '63 Corvette, even though it's a simplified curbside kit:
  17. MPC-899 1/25 Mack DM800 Semi Tractor Cab
  18. AMT-1107 -- 1/25 Batman 1989 Movie Batmobile w/Resin Batman Figure AMT-1112 -- 1/32 1963 Chevy Corvette AMT-1083 -- Plymouth Prowler w/Trailer MPC-898 -- 1/16 Honda Super Hawk Motorcycle I'm guessing the Honda Super Hawk is the Lindberg kit?
  19. Compared to the parts in the Pyro/Lindberg 1/16 T-based kits, they're simply not as nice. For a stock build or something which will use strictly Ford parts, the Minicraft kits will work fine. If you want to lean more towards a hot rod style build, the Pyro/Lindberg kits are the better option IMHO, especially considering nothing in the Revell '34 kits is stock.
  20. I don't think any company currently makes the blue line tires, and other than AMT's semi-recent redlines, can't think of another source for new tires to purchase. I see the old AMT red/bluelines pop up on eBay from time to time, so if you set up a watch there, or search regularly, you should be able to find those. It's possible Stevens International released some redlines a few years ago, but not sure. Brett Barrow to the red courtesy phone, please...
  21. Vinyl Nation makes a bunch of different colored sidewall stripes: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vinyl-Nation-Decals-for-Revell-Goodyear-F70-15-Tires/152942787544?hash=item239c19bbd8:g:zEQAAOSwojRYSerf
