  1. I don't believe they are available anymore, as Chuck passed away a month or two ago.
  2. Yes, but that's been S.O.P. for most new Revell kits since the '50 Olds appeared. The cylinder heads and valve covers molded as one piece is the most disturbing thing, IMHO. Hopefully that's just an error on the instruction sheet... Here's the exploded view drawing James mentioned which is still up on one of the G-body Olds forums at last check: I'm disappointed based on what I see on the instruction sheets. Maybe this is the type of new Level 3 we should expect from Revell moving forward, but it feels like they took two steps backward.
  3. Can't say what's different other than the obvious, but here's the instruction sheet to peruse: http://manuals.hobbico.com/rmx/85-4377.pdf
  4. Re-box by Round2:
  5. This should cover everything automotive 'cept for the Lindberg '38 Ford Convertible street rod and '67 Olds 442 W30:
  6. It's 1/25 scale and all-new, so not based on previous 1/24 Monogram G-body kits. We finally get a stock GM 307 V8! Good to see Revell putting some work into a rather nice kit ('48 Ford convertible) to produce another variant, too. Yes, and by Revell, too, when the diecast thing was still hot. At least Revell has a proper '69 Yenko Camaro kit to offer versus whatever RC2 threw in the box in 2005.
  7. I have 48" LED Commercial Electric lights hanging from the ceiling and honestly do not needs a task light, but if you only want to go with a smaller light, definitely go with an LED light, one which puts out as many lumens as possible.

  9. The "fly eye" air cleaners can be found in the Pro Street '70 Coronet kit, Joel:
  10. The AMT '71 Plymouth Duster contains the best LA-series Mopar V-8 Small Block engine in my opinion. There is no one single kit which provides an accurate stock-type 273/318/340, unfortunately, so you'll need to swap a single carb intake manifold, exhaust manifolds or headers, etc. as necessary.
  11. Just to note, those are technically spun aluminum wheels covers/discs, and not an integral part of the wheels themselves. Parts by Parks makes the nicest spun aluminum discs IMHO, but I think the largest size they offer is 16", and I'm not sure if that's in 1/25 or 1/24 scale. It looks like you might need 17" discs to replicate those on the truck, as they do not extend out to the edge of the rim/wheel lip. Any 18" wheel will do since it'll be mostly hidden, save for the outer lip.
  12. Ken, feel free to start a community build with your own rules, etc. No group build project such as this one is expected to go smoothly, and non-completion is always a possible result-- something we all knew and accepted when we agreed to partake in this project. Adding drama and chiming in with what you or anyone else thinks or feels should've been done is irrelevant to this project. We have a system set up and have been following it, and while their have been some bumps along the way, it has worked out overall. The fact is there's nothing anyone can to to force a participant to do anything, and again, we all knew that going in. Trying to publicly shame someone isn't going to help anyone. When Ron's ready and/or able to report back, he will. If he never does, so be it.
  13. Whether you want to build it as an agile stock runabout for the city, or a radical road racer with bulging fenders, AMT’s VW Scirocco kit has the parts you need! This detailed German engineered econo-car model from the late 70s is back with its many optional parts to turn it into a formidable road warrior! Complete with racing decals and Retro Deluxe™ packaging.KIT FEATURES:• 1/25 scale, skill level 2, paint and glue required• Molded in silver• Stock and road racing versions Optional smoke-tinted windows• Many optional road racing components including fender flares, roll cage and more• Bonus mini display box• Vintage Retro Deluxe™ packaging
  14. MPC’s Great Street Machines are back! This series of muscular customs was first introduced during the 1970s and featured big motors, gleaming wheels and detail galore. Now, the first to be resurrected is the ’67 Dodge Charger with retooled 5-spoke custom mags, cheater slicks and full Retro Deluxe decal and packaging treatment. This magnificent Mopar is a consumer favorite – don’t miss out! KIT FEATURES: • 1/25 scale, skill 2 • Molded in white • Retooled 5-spoke original mag wheels • Pad-printed Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15 front tires • Cheater slicks for rear tires • Original decal sheet graphics • Bonus mini display box • Vintage Retro Deluxe™ packaging
  15. The kit is out now, and those wheels were restored, so the current reissue contains those wheels.
  16. IIRC those wheels have no lug nuts and the wheel center/hub are is huge in relation to the overall diameter. I think the hub center has a small stud on it, too. Perhaps there was a spinner nut provided to use with the wheels in an early issue? These appear closer to Cragar's GT wheels to me, but they are very close in style. The wheels I posted above measure .615" in diameter, so close to 14" in 1/25 scale.
  17. I would suggest you start with the Revell '69 Nova instead of the AMT kit, as it's far better detailed, and includes a stock type exhaust with a cross-flow muffler setup like so: The above orange chassis is a 1/25 Revell '69 Camaro, but the exhaust is from the 1/25 Revell '69 Nova kit.
  18. These are the JO-HAN Cadillac Eldorado wheels I mentioned above, and are IMHO the closest available kit wheel:
  19. Round2 is also reissuing the Beetle Bus custom VW Van kit, too:
  20. Those are Foresight Ventures Drag Mag wheels, as their Indy 500 wheels have solid webs. The closest wheel I can think of are the 14" custom wheels from JO-HAN's '70 Cadillac Eldorado kit, but I've never seen the Drag Mag in resin, Craig.
  21. I guess that insert(?) was the de facto "custom wheel" option for all non-Pontiac MPC kits at the time:
  22. If Steven wants to stick with a 1/24 scale SBC (small block Chevy), the 1/24 Monogram/Revelll '37 Ford kits have a decent SBC. I think the Testors Smoothster, etc. also have a very similar SBC IIRC. For a 1/24 BBC, the choices are not great. The Monogram/Revell 1/24 engines aren't going to be a huge upgrade over the GMC kit's engine, but maybe the BBC from the '70 Chevelle SS454 kit?
  23. Maybe Mike can confirm/refute or comment, but I wonder if this is the same kit as the Vega Twister (aka Monza S) kit Stevens reissued a few years ago with the nose (and likely some other parts) backdated? The MPC Mustang II Pro Stock was reissued as the Firefighter not too long ago, too:
  24. John's correct. The '80 F-bodies used the M-body front fenders, bumpers, as well as other parts.
