  1. https://www.models2u.co.uk/contents/en-uk/d1170_vehicles-civil.html These, I haven't seen mentioned yet: 1/24 '65 Shelby Cobra 427 -- 07708 (June 2022) 1/24 Porsche 917K, 1970 LeMans Winner -- 07709 (April 2022) 1/24 Trabant 601S Universal -- 07713 (October 2022)

  3. Sink marks almost always appear where the plastic abruptly changes thickness, such as where a brace, rib, or bracket appears on the back or underside. That appears to be the case with this 911 body. It's entirely possible this is mostly unavoidable in this case. Perhaps it was a compromise regarding the locating tabs inside the body? Not an excuse, but, as James said, not everything comes out golden. I don't think the sink marks shown are in the worst possible location, honestly. While that does not excuse their presence, the drip rail provides a nice guide for a sanding stick, etc. Thanks goodness we have the ways and means to correct the things which don't meet our standards: http://italianhorses.net/Tutorials/Primer/primer.htm
  4. They should be the same optional tires included in the recently re-issued 1/24 Monogram '78 El Camino kit, and BFG decals for the sidewalls.
  5. Maybe not. Don't forget they have the 1/25 Polar Lights ECTO-1, too, and I doubt they have a need for two molds of the same, unique vehicle.
  6. No, it was issued multiple times, and I think this was the most recent?:
  7. Yeah, the "airbrushed" style graphics from the original custom version are very '80s: The Revell-Monogram release included some better(?) graphics:
  8. That's a refreshing opinion to read. ? I'm hoping other EVs will follow from Revell and others.
  9. I was commenting on the very similar looking graphics on the Dobbertin Nova, which, IMHO, were an influence for the artist's design on the forthcoming '66 Malibu SS. Whether my assumption is true or not, I can't say, as I was mainly providing a counter opinion to the below comment made earlier: Those of us who lived through the early '80s, read Hot Rod magazine, and saw what was happening with the street machine scene recognize some similarities between the kit and the pictured early Nova-- even the new box art merely evokes memories of a certain time and build styles. Could be just me, too, but it's about the kit, the box art, and Revell's target audience-- not great, very good, and 50+, having previously built the kit three or four times, respectively. Mark said it better than I could: The "red" version hasn't been issued since 1991 (I think, most recent I could find), so I'm holding out hope, but not my breath, the 5-slot wheels are included this time.
  10. Whaaaat? Better wheels?!! That's the lone saving grace of this kit! The 16" 5-slot wheels.
  11. To those who know about historically significant street machines, it does plenty. *ehem*
  12. Yes, other than the slightly clunky appearing headlight surrounds it's one of Monogram's best. Here's a nice build to see what you can achieve:
  13. I would guess T&T Productions, as they released a few showrod/radical custom resin kits.
  14. I dug this one out, thinking I might be able to reassess things and possibly make some progress in 2022...we shall see about the latter. I made a few resin longbed bedside pieces a few years ago, only got one useable right and two left sides, and never cast a useable inner bed section...which it turns out is just as well. All three bedside pieces are 5-7% too short and no longer fit the master, so they need to be re-cast. I think I will eliminate the funky alignment thing at the front of each bedside piece anyway. Honestly, not much of any progress to report, hut hopefully that will change soon. Pics of where it's at, and the damaged LH bedside master, which needs attention before it can be reused as a master. Yes, the roof is still a bit concave:
  15. Thanks. I was thinking '62-'64-ish, but all of the AMT kit tail lights I looked at on instruction sheets that were round seemed to be cone shaped, or at least peaked on some form.
  16. That's them. Thank you, Don.
  17. This release wasn't molded in the U.S., so I don't think that past issue applies here. Hopefully Garry's info answer's Peter question.
  18. Can anyone identify the source of this transparent red tail light lens? O.D. measures .290", and it's about .075" thick. There is a small lip around the outer edge, and the concentric rings on the lens' face are slightly raised. Aqua AMT wheel for size comparison:
  19. Eh, keep going, minor setback. ? Gives you plenty of time for detailing, fitting up other parts and sub assemblies, and applying BMF, too.
  20. Here's that image:
