Ertl-AMT farm tractor models
Casey replied to Twostepn2001's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
To be even more specific, they received none of the agriculture molds: Andy says: January 15, 2015 at 3:57 am Do the International 1466, Plow or Farm Wagon molds still exist ? Reply JohnG says: January 15, 2015 at 9:49 am If they do, Round 2 doesn’t have access to those – any Ertl AG related tools were not a part of the tooling we bought. ...so that presumably also includes the: #8003 International 1466 Tractor #8004 International Farm Wagon #8005 John Deere 4430 Tractor #8006 Farm Wagon (appears identical to #8004, just molded in John Deere colors this time) #8007 Massey-Ferguson 1155 Tractor #8008 Massey-Ferguson Farm Wagon (again, same as #8004, now molded in M-F colors) #8011 Ertl International Automatic Beam Plow #8012 John Deere Moldboard Plow #8016 Massey-Ferguson Spirit of America Tractor -
Did AMT/ERTL make farm tractor model kits
Casey replied to thatz4u's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Ertl originally created the kits, before they owned AMT, then some were later re-issued by AMT/Ertl after both were under the same roof, so to speak. See here: -

Trailer Air Tanks Each trailer and converter dolly has one or more air tanks. They are filled by the emergency (supply) line from the tractor. They provide the air pressure used to operate trailer brakes. Air pressure is sent from the air tanks to the brakes by relay valves. The pressure in the service line tells how much pressure the relay valves should send to the trailer brakes. The pressure in the service line is controlled by the brake pedal and the trailer hand brake. -

1/25 AMT Surf Shark 1959 Cadillac Ambulance
Casey replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Watching the video now, and Chris showed/mentioned the Mickey Thompson tires formerly included only inside the 1/25 AMT Baldwin-Motion '70 Camaro kit are included in this kit, a pleasant surprise. -
Try the search, please. Near instant results:

Same idea, different pop, this one much older:

While I think the '56 Chrysler New Yorker is a beautiful car, I wouldn't want to be the one investing the time and money into offering two specific aftermarket parts which fit only one model, and a multi-piece bodied 1/32 scale model at that. I don't know, but these 1/32 kits have a few strikes against them: Not 1/25 scale. 1/32 kits are much smaller, and... Not much appeal to anyone under the age of 60+, and those in that group tend not to have great eyesight, good dexterity...not good for a completed model which only measure 6" long. Multi-piece bodied kits. Not many like them. Four-doors. Despite the lunatic fringe claiming they'd buy a case, to try to pull one of these off requires something extra, like a movie, TV show, or YouTuber tie-in, (like the Supernatural '67 Impala) to give it wider sales appeal. '56 Buick doesn't have a lot of pull nor recognition, IMHO, so not sure how much better a '56 Chrysler (though being a two-door helps) would fare. While I think the '56 Chrysler New Yorker is a beautiful car, I wouldn't want to be the one investing the time and money into offering two specific aftermarket parts which fit only one model, and a multi-piece bodied 1/32 scale model at that. The '56 Chrysler and '56 Lincoln Continental Mark II (which was also reissued in the '90s IIRC) would've been most welcomed in 1/25 scale.

If someone would try to sell it, they'd never sell out of them. They'd probably only sell one.

The 1/25 Revell Cadillac Lowrider has a basic A/C compressor and the pulley is molded as one with the belt and the other pulleys: 1/24 Monogram/Revell '37 Ford also has a basic A/C compressor: Yes: -

Gelato and sorbetto, to be correct. ? I have saved those containers, too, as they are a great size/volume. The cleanser scrub always seems to give good results, without making the tire look like it's ben out in the elements for decades. Just be sure you buy old school cleanser, as many similar products, like Barkeepers Friend, are not nearly as aggressive. Find for vintage enameled cast iron sinks and tubs, less ideal for scrubbing model car tires.

Thanks. They look 16"+, so I figured they might fit the 1/24 Goodyear Rally GT tires. Thanks, that looks like a match: That custom grille, tho...?

Pretty sure this is an AMT wheels, but IIRC, the Ansen Apollo Torq-Trust knock-off wheel has a capital letter A at the top of the center cap, while this one is blank. Also, the center cap is noticeably off-center on both of these. ?♀️

Fourth wheel from the left, molded in red is from...*1/24 Monogram '87 Ford Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Thanks Mark.*

If you find a set, please post an image or two of them here. I'm curious what the offset is/looks like. Here are some other similar 12-hole aluminum wheels I found. Below, left to right, the kit each was sourced from: 1/24 Monogram '86 Monte Carlos SS, 1/24 Monogram '64 GTO, 1/25 AMT Ford '9? Ford F-150 *10 hole*, ?????, and 1/24 Monogram Ford F-150 "High Roller": The Left wheel, from the 1/24 Monogram '86 Monte Carlo, measures .664" O.D., so multiply by 25, then subtract 1" and you get 15.60". The second wheel from the left, sourced from the 1/24 Monogram '64 Pontiac GTO kit, measure .675" O.D., so 15.875" in 1/25 scale. The wheel should measure close to .640" O.D. to equal a 15" wheel in 1/25 scale.
