  2. I see in your PB album you have the Direct, HTML, and IMG links visible, but not the thumbnail IMG link. If you go to your PB profile/account page, and click the checkbox which will display the thumbnail IMG, too, that would make things much easier.
  3. Welcome back, Buzz Killington.
  4. It might be the same base engine as in the Rat Roaster kit, so shared design might be one reason. Money saved on the engine parts and wheels/tires design goes toward new indiction systems, interior parts, etc. There's nothing wrong with an all-new SBC, either, especially if it raises the bar when compared to the previous "best available" SBC.
  5. Yes, that seems to be the case. I would expect a Model A coupe kit to arrive at least a few months after the roadster, so maybe early '16 or so? Thank you for posting that link, Chris.
  6. Each member is allotted a limited amount of free space, which is essentially storage space, and you've probably used yours up. As suggested, try a free image hosting site.
  7. I think you'd be best off picking up up a 1/25 Revell (the modern tool version, not the '60s era kits with the opening doors) and kitbashing the AMT sedan's body with the Revell kit's chassis, etc. Getting rid of the molded in exhaust system from the AMT kit would be a huge step in the right direction.
  8. "Let's update the is kit a little bit, provide a new version of the '70 Mopar B-body which no other company offers, and throw in a few parts which buyers can use on our other 1/24 Mopar musclecar kits." The interior was completely updated in this kit, and now includes a bench seat; ...a non-console platform-style "floor", a Pistol Grip floor shifter, separate door/quarter panels; ...Roadrunner grille, "police" wheels (though not correct for this particular car), as well as a very nice decal sheet, too. For kitbashing alone, it's worth the $15 or so.
  9. I'd say just the opposite. With the headlight lens' "texture" as a raised detail, how is anyone going to crisply mask both headlights? A liquid mask would be my guess, so if anyone has tried I'd like to see the results. It seems like drilling out the molded-in headlights and providing two separate, clear headlights and a one-piece grille sans headlights would be the best thing to do, and would ensure the headlights will look as real as possible right from the start. Having the grille chrome plated is no longer and option with this method, either, unless the masking medium can survive the plating process.
  10. Save for the rolling stock, this kit hasn't changed a whole lot since it was first released. This was the last reissue, with the LaSalle style grille, streamlined headlight buckets, and the undersized 1/25 scale whitewall tires being the most notable changes:
  11. We should start getting serious about discussing what to do with the completed model, since it's getting very close to completion. If you've participated in the build, let's hear your suggestions, please.
  12. If you're wanting the MPC '84 GMC stepside 4x4 kit, I would just be patient for another year or so...
  13. ^What they said. I do think the rear part of the stripe looks too purple, but I can't recall if the sheet contains any better options. I think Jeff has the reissue, so maybe he could compare the original and reissued decal sheets if possible. *edit* Hmmm, I guess they just look more purple in person than what they did on the original sheet: None of the other stripes on the sheet would even be close, so no help there.
  14. Are you using Internet Explorer 11 as your browser?
  15. I used superglue with some accelerator, and it seems to be holding up fine. I was a bit concerned about stability, too, but once cured, everything is very solid. I also cut a very shallow groove/slot in the axle housing with a p/e saw blade for each bracket to sit in, so not sure how much, if at all, that helped. I considered epoxy, too, but didn't have any on hand. I guess the risk of breaking off is always present when using something this thin and small, but I wiggled each tab after the superglue was cured and they feel secure enough to proceed to me.
  16. There's a swap meet the day after the show in Sunday, also in Waukesha, WI, but the show itself is just that, a show only, with no selling taking place.
  17. Yes, you will want to crop (essentially "trim" off an excess part of the picture which isn't needed) the image, but the resolution (how many pixels per inch) and overall size (850pixels wide is ideal for forums) will affect the total file size. As suggested, sign up for a Photobucket account at www.photobucket.com (or a similar photohosting place of your choice) and you can edit you images until you're happy with them, then post them here using the various image links in your PB account.
  18. Thanks, guys. I ordered some p/e frets from Dirt Modeler with the hope that some of the brackets would replace the now-removed molded in axle housing brackets, and it turns out some of the Lenco trans mount brackets were a near perfect fit. Plus, the brackets already have a perfectly sized and centered hole pre-drilled for the mounting bolt, making assembly much easier, too:
  19. I've always used the Hella conversion headlamps on my "classic" vehicles, too, and the difference is amazing. A fairly concise description/comparison of U.S. DOT spec vs. Euro here: http://www.rallylights.com/vision-plus-vs-ece
  20. As Ray said, clear coating will not help, and even a decal softening and/or solution (like Micro-sol) might not help. Any area where decals are to be applied which consists of drastic angles and changes in direction (like the hood-to side of scoop-to-top of scoop on the Camaro) is going to be a challenge for ANY decal. Decals can't stretch so they have to be designed to account for the changing width in those tricky areas, and that rarely works out perfectly. A softening solution might help, but it also might make things worse. If the decals are dry, you can place Scotch tape on them and remove the decals without harming the paint. TL/DR: Hard area to cover with a decal. Paint is easier, no solution is easiest.

  22. I finally got the oil pan corrected, moving the sump area forward so it clear the steering components, moved the trans mount pad, and reshaped the lower bellhousing shield a bit: On to finding/making a manual steering gear box and adding the /6 engine mounts to the K-member.
  23. Try a want ad in the Model Trucks: For Trade/Wanted section here. I found roof from the same trailer that way last year. I bet someone has the side panel(s) they could spare.
