  1. Not really scarce nor hard to find. Four sold on eBay within the last 40 days or so. Sam Cates was looking for one not too long ago to build a replica of his own Camaro.
  2. See here, Michael: http://www.modelcars...pic=56316&st=20 Here's the link to the existing Moebius/Tim Flock Hudson kit thread in the Reviews section: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56316&st=0
  3. Yes, they are both from eBay, but neither is from pj-toys. The Jimmy was a Best Offer and the Stepside has a messed up cab roof which will be addressed once the Monogram Revell 1/24 GMC 4x4 kit drops.
  4. Is this based on a 1:1 body?
  5. Thank you, Terry. The NHRA has rules for vehicles which ran at tracks sanctioned by the NHRA, and while some non NHRA-sanctioned tracks follow the NHRA rules, others have their own rules which may be different than the NHRA's. Nobody (that I'm aware of) has exclusive rights to the word "gasser", which has become a more generic term in the automotive lexicon, for better or for worse. Nice work oon the gasser truck, Pete, especially the metallic blue accents in the interior. Nothing says '60s Cal Custom quite like metalflake.
  6. Does this version of the '50 Ford include any tires to use with the steel wheels, dog dish hubcaps, and whitewall inserts which are included? All I see are the custom tires which fit the (new to this version) larger diameter 5-spoke wheels.
  7. The GMC Jimmy's roof has a vinyl-like texture, which matches the removable rear roof section:
  8. The front wheels (and tires?) appear to be the Monogram 1/24 scale Pro Stock and Funny Car wheels (and Goodyear Frontrunner tires?), is that correct, Ian? If the rear tires are Monogram, too, they will be way too big for a mini. I will check if I have anything within your size requirements.
  9. The supercharger looks like a typical roots type blower, but the scoop and exhaust are typical Tom Daniel unique:
  10. As Don stated above, the boat is from the Revell "River Rat" kit #H-1382:
  11. See here: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3124
  12. I think Don is correct. This boat was part of the "River Rat" set which included a Chevy Luv pickup and the boat on a single axle trailer.
  13. I know yours will turn out better than this 1:1 attempt at a modern Chevelle: http://www.amcarguide.com/custom/custom-chevelle-failed/
  14. That is the AMT version of the Toyota Hilux, and the tires will be different than the Monogram GY Tracker A/T tires. The AMT top custom ORV kit has the same (narrower, as I would call them) GY Tracker A/T tires:
  15. The Jimmy Flintstone resin body is the only game in town, but it's meant to be a slammer, with no interior nor underside detail. The Fujimi kit is very nicely done, but it has the '96+ interior, '95+ nose, and mid-'95+ lower body cladding, so that will all need to go for a '94.
  16. What are you specifically looking for? An extended wheelbase '85-'94 2WD? This topic was covered not too long ago in the Wanted section: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=57687
  17. The Monogram '56 Chevy Bel Air's turbine wheel have thicker and fewer spokes than the ETs pictured. There are a few Vette kits with turbine style wheels, but some have no center hub/lug detail. The Black Rat wheels also have too few and thicker spokes than the ETs:
  18. The Tom Daniel Vette is neither easy to find nor cheap to buy if you do, but most of the '70s Vettes are easier to find. The General Lee uses American Racing Vector wheels, while the 1/24 Monogram '55 Ford has eight-lug turbine (Hurricane was Western Wheel's name for this style IIRC) wheels, so neither would be correct. Most of the '70s Vette kits (and the MPC '67 GTO) include 5-lug turbine wheels, some all four the same depth, some in two different depths. The Monogram 1/24 '56 Bel Air (black car on box art) also has a nice set of 5-lug turbine wheels.
  19. Which engine (and from which kit, if known) are you using?
  20. I want to say I saw one in SAE or CM years ago, but can't say for sure. Frontier or Mad Dog Models, maybe?
