  1. Those look like the wheels and tires from the AMT Baldwin-Motion '70 Camaro kit. Jared, you're gonna need some Gabriel Hi-Jacker air shocks back there to allow the rear tires to clear the wheel arches.
  2. I think even Hudsons qualify as AMCs. Welcome to the AMC CB, Bob.
  3. No kit which I'm aware of. Maybe Ross Gibson has a resin engine with those heads?
  4. Are all the stock engine parts still found in the Custom kit?
  5. Is the custom intake manifold in the Custom kit the only engine part which is different from the Stock kit?
  6. Gorgeous. Flat out gorgeous.
  7. Nice work on opening up the grille and adding the bowtie emblem. That modification alone makes a huge difference on the Revell 1/25 Camaros. The nice part about replicating a base model COPO is not having to foil (and add) the faux vents on the quarter panels. Nice 1:1, too. Something about the '69 COPO Camaros just clicks.
  8. I don't think it would be worth it to cast only the body, and JOHAN Marlins aren't made of unobtainium yet. One just ended yesterday on eBay, with a painted body, for $27.00, so they are out there and still affordable.
  9. Won't be long now...it's (almost) out! http://www.revell.com/new.html
  10. Revell doesn't mess around with re-issues. The '70 Buick GSX and 'Vette Z06 are shown as new releases for July. http://www.revell.com/new.html

A quick stop at the 1:25 scale alignment shop and THEN it'll be done. It turned out great, and the star pipe really stands out...but that's the point, right? I would've loved to see it as a "swagon" shape, but it looks fantastic with the weathering you did.
  12. I don't know if they'd be correct for a '70s Chevy C30, but I think Ryan Silva in MA casts some resin dually wheels.
  13. Glad to hear you got ahold of an Airtrax Mirada, Fred. I'm looking forward to watching it progress.
  14. You've waited to long already. File a claim with eBay and get a full refund now.
  15. I love the early '60s Tempests, as the nose design is pure Pontiac. Something about a single carb'ed tunnel ram just doesn't work for me, though. It's probably more streetable than dual quads, but most people don't choose tunnel rams because they work well on the street.
  16. They were easily my favorite "toy" to play with as a child, and I still play with them occasionally with my daughter. I have all the LEGO blocks I got when I was younger, and have collected a few more sets and bulk bags from various thrift stores. It's amazing to see how many unique pieces have been designed in the last 20+ years, and comparing them to what we had to work with in the '80s. A specialized forklift piece(s) back then was a part to be protected as it was easily stepped on and broken. Plus, there are so many different colors now, which didn't exist back in the '70s and '80s. It was black, blue, red, white, yellow and grey back then, with a very rare clear blue or clear yellow windshield part from an "outer space" type kit. I used to use the blocks for mold boxes, too, now use other things.
  17. Off we go... I've got the still-separate engine and transmission sections assembled, which will be used to make new engine mounts on the cleaned up and modified frame rails and crossmember/K-frame. The slots on the topside of the frame rails looked horrible (not to mention completely inaccurate), so the upper control arms were removed, and the slots filled with various pieces of styrene. The frame rail sections will be evened out as they have some funky tapers due to the way they were molded. The goal is a simple, base Dart, possibly with some GT options/features, in a subtle (read: non-HIP) color, similar to this one:
  18. Looks like Liam's selected his next project. http://www.round2models.com/models/amt/63studebaker-avanti/amt780-01
  19. Nobody can control how English changes, and that's the beauty if it, and, well, most languages. There's a good reason words come and go when dictionaries are updated and published each year. English is made up a many bits, pieces, and words taken from other languages, so there's no hard and fast rule as to which words are accepted and which are shunned. I have a friend in Phoenix, and he's referred to them as hoboobs for as long as I can remember- it has nothing to do with being "PC". You could say "twenty-three skidoo", too, if you please, but I'm sure you'd get some funny looks.
  20. I hope the owner of the Ski-Doo and Ski-boose is aware of the 1/12 MPC model of both. Those are very cool to see restored.
  21. This one I love, but it needs bigger wheels and tires:
  22. That is a good idea. Micro Machines, maybe?
  23. This just ended on eBay, and while I'm not really into motorcycles nor H-Ds specifically, this one caught my eye:
