  1. Were these the beds from eBay? As I recall they were...rough. Does anyone had an RMR bed? I know Chuck Naylor bought their 1/16 Chevy pickup bed and was pleased with it, but I don't recall seeing their 1/25 scale version.
  2. I dare you to put "Android" on the trophy. Congrats, Andy.
  3. The builder has the option of cutting the center section out of the roof and buidling the car with the canvas top opened/folded back.
  4. Has the "new" Revell '41 Willys kit always included a photoetched grille?
  5. I thought the only "extra" in the Pro Modeler version was the p/e grille piece? This reissue should be the same as the last reissue.
  6. I know Scale Productions in Germany used to make the Fleetside longbed, but no longer does. It was based on the MPC 1/25 Fleetside "Fall Guy" bed, though. There was some discussion in this thread: http://www.modelcars...opic=42061&st=0 ...about RMR making a bed, too, but it wasn't clear to me if it's a dually style bed or not.
  7. It looks like Testors Lime Ice?
  8. Eric, I added a poll to your post, but it would be helpful if you provided more details and some pictures of what the finished product looks like so people know exactly what's being offered.
  9. It would be impossible to discuss all model kits, even from a single manufacturer, which is why it's easier to discuss and review a single kit or a group of related kits (say, AMT's Trophy Series kits). Quality can vary, even within one manufacturers catalog. For instance Revell kits on the early '80s were not very good, but some of their early and mid-'90s kits are excellent. As always, opinions will vary.
  10. Nice, and yes, those wheels and tires(?) are from the Revell '64 Ford T-bolt kit...some of my favorites. Three-window Deuces always look nice in yellow.
  11. Very cool, Matt. I dig the t.p. on the front seat.
  12. Is this one based on a real (concept?) car? It appears to have some Charger III-like styling cues. That color really works well with the bodylines.
  13. Very cool...now get that Daf dirty!
  14. Sorry, I thinking of Vince's pics, and it looks like he cut the bed free from the cab(s): http://public.fotki....haus-64-dodge-/ More info on the Modelhaus' Swepty: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=54716&hl=dodge
  15. Whatever you do, please don't lose the "forward lean" of the front end. It would be cool to incorporate some sharper peaks into the headrest blisters, to tie them in with the quarter panel peaks.
  16. I thought the IMCBM had a Hall of Fame? I recall SAE including a candidate along with their Kit of the Year voting years ago, but maybe they no longer do that?
  17. Yes, I'm pretty sure they will. I would just call them, on the telephone (they are old school), and tell them what you're looking for, and they can probably put together what you need.
  18. Are those wheels from the Revell '64 Chevy Impala 2'n1 kit? Nice work.

    Salt Rod

A perfect example of "less is more". I wish the Goodguys decal was an SCTA sticker, but that bellypan is flat out awesome. Gorgeous.

    Dodge Challenger

...from the factory, but after that, it's fair game, especially once it receives a wicked flip-flop purple-green paint job. Maybe it was a factory side-view mirror delete car?
  21. As a kid who grew up idolizing the '77-'78 Trans Ams, I love it. this appears to be one of the nicer, less die-cast-like models, too. Me, too...and still do.
  22. RMR makes a standard cab '65 Swepty: http://www.freewebs....resin/nf125.htm More info here, too: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52110&hl=%2Bdodge+%2B64
  23. You're right. We've debated this before, and the final decision has been made, so let's move on, please.
