  11. Super cool! And this artwork even looks a lot like my build, except for the large wing of course.
  12. Thank you much Tim. Now I just have to look up what "fuel altered" is! (I'm still learning about the classic hot rod era)
  13. Your work always inspires me Claude!
  14. Our friend @Claude Thibodeau recently posted a Deuce he put together from miscellaneous parts, and it inspired me to try my hand at something similar. To begin with, I pulled out my favorite AMT parts pack and fished out their beautiful hot rod frame assembly. It went together great, and begged to be left in all its blingy chrome glory. Next up was the Chrysler hemi and rolling stock from a partial AMT kit I had laying around of the Corvair Chezoom funny car. These parts could also have come from their Barracuda "Hemi-Under-Glass" which shares the same underpinnings. The parts dropped in with very little alterations and looked totally in place. Adding spark plug wires really added to the realism of this awesome looking engine. Finally, the body came from an AMT Custom and Competition parts pack. The trickiest part here was creating floorboards and a tunnel from scratch, along with shortening the trunk. Since this dragster was to be named "Snake", I chose a color palette from a copperhead. When completed, this model looked like it was always made to go together with these parts.

  18. Larry, that is one sweeet ride! All your build photos looked great, especially the ones with the body and rolling stock in place. Just WOW!
  19. So many beauties to choose from! For me though, the J cars stand out, and the Cobra Type 65 just beckons What is that model by the way? I'd love to know the manufacturer, scale, etc.

    Tugboat

Both are great builds, but the boat is so extra-imaginative! I too would love to know more about it.
