Just beautiful to my eyes!

I love all the gadgets you incorporated into your build Michele. Well done as usual!
-
Very interested in how your build comes out, and areas of difficulty. Thank you for posting. BTW; your observation about the European instructions is hilarious - - - color coding, lettering, flags, arrows - - - and it's still confusing!

Welcome back Barry! Looking forward to your homage to the beauty in your driveway. Great start so far

Coming out great so far. Love the detail on the dash!

Totally rad Michelle! When is your Mustang KITT gonna happen?
-
Love the color! Now I've got a new paint to get on my next visit to the auto store... Dupli-Color Dark Toreador metallic. Thank you for the tip, and looking forward to the completion of your build.

Quite beautiful. I'm not sure which kit this is, but I especially like the louvers on the hood sides and trunk.

Craig, your attention to detail really adds to the quality of this build. The interior details, the body line accents, even the masked side view mirrors are just exquisite. Well done!

Just wonderful, especially the choice of colors. Well done!

I'm digging it. Cannot wait to see it with the rest of the bling!

TJ, your beautiful build reminded me of two cars; the first my wife's 65 Impala when we first met - that gorgeous Tahitian Turquoise blue yours looks a lot like. And second, the cover car for Hot Rod Magazine April 1952. Well done!

Totally enjoying watching you build this model! -
Absolutely wonderful Marcel!

BTW, spread the word; Motor Trend has also started offering "Super Street" Magazine free online as well for those more inclined toward tuners and more modern fare! Currently, they have July 2018 through February 2020 available.

While I was checking the Motor Trend site, I noticed the September 2022 magazine just dropped (the site maintains a one year lag to promote paid subscriptions). In it was an interesting article about a custom Corvette from the 1960 Oakland Roadster Show called "Bali Hai" that recently reappeared. I love these oldies, and it seems to me this one is a natural for replication in scale.

I guess my question was more for our moderators on this forum, and whether this thread you and I are conversing on could be pinned on the main forum so it would get more attention (and hopefully others' contributions). As for access to Hot Rod Magazine, it is still available free on https://www.motortrend.com/plus/magazines/ . The only "registration" needed is to log on via Google, Facebook, or Apple (or if you prefer, they still offer the option of putting in your email address and creating a password). One or two folks mentioned getting spam as a result of visiting this site, but I have had no such experience. Perhaps other folks could speak to this as well. In any event, thank you for your interest.

Totally gorgeous Tim! It has some of the flavor of the Corvair Monza GT about it. I wonder if there is any relationship there? In any event, I would enjoy getting the Chapparal Coupe myself and perhaps kit-bashing it with the Corvair...

Very sharp, particularly the detailed engine compartment. Well done!

Now that this thread has had 25,000 views in less than a year, I wonder if it would qualify being pinned? It's kind of a natural place to look for inspiration on new builds, or get information on hot rods of the past...

Way cool - a brass era hot rod! Never knew such a thing existed Yours came out great
