Wonderful builds Aron, and the Ken Miles car is such a wonderful topic matter. I look forward to seeing that one as well.

Just beautiful work Mario! And I'm with you on the great classic look of this vehicle with the "Jagermeister" colors. There was one at SEMA this year that apparently stole your idea too .

Beautiful rendition of a fantastic rod. Well done as always!
-
Nice build with a perfect choice of paint. Thank you for posting!

Nothing more beautiful IMO than tuxedo black exterior and bright red interior. So beautiful!
-
Beautifully clean build, and great photos!

Absolutely beautiful Ken. I hope mine comes out a tenth as good when I get around to building it. So far, I've only gone so far as to get some 3D printed scoops Just out of curiosity, what changes did you make and do you have a WIP anywhere on it?

Thank you gentlemen

Quite possibly my favorite build I've seen this year! Just stunning, thank you for sharing!

Oh man, I LOVE that deep metallic paintjob and awesome detail. Great job! -
Welcome Ken! My story is very close to yours, and I've only been posting here for a year or so myself. Great group of folks and not a mean one in the bunch. Besides, if someone really gets too hornery, have your granddaughter show you how to block them! I too paint however it moves me; sometimes indoors, sometimes out. Sometimes model enamel, other times automotive lacquer, and yet other times I'll just leave the model unpainted because it looks good to me as is. At the end of the day, all you're trying to do is relax, enjoy, and maybe get a little sense of accomplishment. The only thing I will say about primer vs. no primer is that when I shoot primer, my tired old eyes pick up a lot more of the details and imperfections in the part I'm working on - and thus it makes prep work easier for me. Just food for thought.

Thank you Bob. I was trying to play off of the yellow and red of the "Shell" script. Visually though, painting the underside flat black really added a lot more realism to the model.

Harley Earl's 1954 Corvette Prototype unearthed and being rebuilt... Never even knew this car existed. What a cool addition to the car's already storied past. HRM October 2022

Quite beautiful build on a model you don't see every day. Thank you for posting!

Yup, coin bank that can hold maybe five bucks

I picked up this tired diecast tanker for $20 in order to give it another lease on life. I guess it's part of a series of all "gold" vehicles done by Liberty Classic as coin banks. It took a minute to get apart as the bolts had rusted, and there was some corrosion under the plating, but the scale was a good 1:24 and proportions seemed right. The biggest thing I wanted to address was the stance as both front and rear axles seemed too high. I took about 3/16" height out of both and gave the truck a slightly forward rake. Other than that, I painted the bottom black, silver accents where the plating had come off, a burgundy interior, and voila - - - This actually sits very nicely next to my collection of Ford hot rods, and makes me wonder if maybe there can be such a thing as a hot rod tanker...

Just beautiful Paul! I've got all six of these, and am hoping to build them with slight tweaks of my own. Thank you for posting

Looks waaay cool, Scott! And if you're into T'rantulas, consider the Tiki Trike since it was in essence the three-wheeled version of this icon.

Gorgeous model Mario! But I gotta say, you do such stunning work with your dioramas, lighting and photography that I almost forget to look at the car

Diggin' those Dagmars - see at the 2023 ACME Southern NNL on Oct. 28

Fantastic job Pico! I'm so jealous of your 3D printing abilities. But for the unwary; DON'T look up where the term "dagmars" comes from -
Totally enjoying your build TJ, thank you for posting. I've been giving some thought to these larger scales with the thought that they might be a little easier with my fumbly hands and tired eyes...
