Very nice! I love the blue and the extra details you added. I picked up one of these at a show last year. I passed on the stock version having just built the AMT Nova wagon, but when I saw this one with the cowl hood I couldn't say no.
That is absolutely stunning! These look so beautiful in stock form, I don't think I could bring myself to do my usual "restomod thing". I picked up one of these at a show last year, and after seeing your build, I may have to move this up to the front of the list.
You say different, I heard "ugly" (Lol). I knew a woman who had a base model convertible (73??). It was a pretty metallic blue, with a black interior & top, but it had hubcaps & no stripes or markings of any kind. And yes, it had the inline 6.
The pictures and background were great! It's difficult to change the scenery in an outdoor photo, and make it different for each shot. It could get expensive, like building a diorama (ask me how I know this, Lol).
That looks amazing! I won this kit at a show last year, and I can't wait to get into it. The club I'm in has a build-off, and my challenge is to build a weathered kit. I may have to reference your build for inspiration.
