Nice work Sir

When I first joined this forum I introduced myself and I also uploaded a couple of pics of my model of the Airfix Bentley...So I thought I'd post some more pics and info regarding the build .I built this a while ago and it was my first go for a large scale kit. I always loved a challenge Needless to say as you all know it 's quite an old kit and I had to be very careful because the parts were quite brittle.... Needed a lot of work as well ... had to be build some scratchbuilt components ....Obviously a lot and I mean a lot of trunking and wiring . Wooden floor built from scratch as well as the dashboard . Wire wheels were laced ...not an easy task....Insect screen meshing was used for the fuel tank protective meshing ... Finished in Gravity paint and lacquer Hope you like it Regards Lou Malta

When I see the pics of this model I get a bit emotional...I gave it to a dear old friend of mine and ex work colleague and a month later he passed. He had been on and on that he wanted this model ...I don't sell my models so I was a bit reluctant ....but due to the fact that I was seeing him ebb away and getting weaker by the day I gave it to him and seeing his happy face was one of my treasured moments in in my life . I am sorry about writing all this but I had to because this is a model with a story which I hold very dear .. Fly high Joe

This model was a headache from start to finish . It's an AMT kit and it really needed quite a lot of work inside the cabin as well as the engine.I portrayed the model as the mount of David and Rob Fenn . I tried to be faithful as I could. Decals are home made ...Seat belts...spot lights and roll bar built from scratch Finished in Gravity paints and lacquer.... I started the pics with the real thing...hope You like it

This is going to be a real challenge got this kit very cheap for 27 pounds from Ebay ...The postage cost more tha the actual model ...It's partly built so I have to dismantle the model bit by bit before I ever thinks of start building the kit. Here's the restoration of the engine . Next on the line is the chassis which is in bits and pieces sort of a 3D jigsaw.
