  1. ..................chassis just about done added a few brake valves and air lines,,few more odds and ends left ............ started striping the cab , interior shot burgundy/maroon ,used some of my 40 year old Floquil paint on that!
  2. Nice detail on the engine,PT pump,air compressor and A/C compressor bracket look good! ....where did you get the brake chambers,,they look a lot better than the Auslowe ones I use
  3. It's tricky using that stuff , sometimes I get good results other times not so much
  4. ................actually not black,,,Alclad chrome spray,,,it's the way the light hits it....I'm spraying the fuel tanks today
  5. ................adding relay and quick release valves ,,I might plumb the air bags ,, assembled the rims and tires,,painted more small parts,,,still waiting on stripes for cab ,,should be here Saturday ,, also added a torque rod to the rear differential,,the bracket was on the housing but I guess Ertl neglected to add it
  6. I have the Revell 1/25th W900 Kenworth wrecker kit ,I plan on using the Transtar with the wrecker body and put a Detroit in it
  7. I have a few aftermarket front axles in the parts dept.,,I'll have to check them with the kit axle..........so the hood has to be shaved off a bit where it meets the cab cowl also ?
  8. Gary,I have that in my pile yet to do,,, I understand that the front axle in the kit is a bit on the wide side?

  10. MCW paints,,, the red is Chrysler Engine Red which is a match for IH Red , the white is basic Gloss White and Antique Silver ,all enamels
  11. Roxbury had Hortons at one time,I don't know if they still do or not,,looks good ! The tapered roof would be a Braun I believe
  12. Looks fine to me........ I've had my share of problems (of my own making)with resin too!!!....lol

  15. Lee,you might have had the "Tailored Torque" "Fuel Squeezer" 365 HP
  16. ..................powertrain,radiator and crossmembers in the frame ,,front axle assembly along with Auslowe brake chambers and slack adjusters

  19. ........I was going to black wash the inside of the wheels but I was afraid it would f'-up the Alclad
  20. ........got the redlines today from Hobbylinc ,,,I found a better set of Road Wheels, more correct looking for a 69 with the brushed stainless trim rings,,also found the proper air cleaner decal ....installed radio antenna...she's a pre-January 69 car-no headrests...I'm gonna say she's done
  21. We worked on a small fleet of these back in the late 70's early 80's ,Roma Foods ,all Detroits I remember them when they were new , good trucks!
  22. ................ the old 2 stroker done,painted IH Red and mated to the Roadranger ,,, cab shot Fleet White and in the dehydrator,,,,moving on to frame
  23. ...........8V-71 coming together,,,,cobbling up a governor housing that Ertl forgot
