Ollie's strike again
FoMoCo66 replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Good news everyone! I just discovered I have a local Ollie's. Turns out it opened sometime around September of last year and I'm just finding out about it. I went to jo check it out today and... I was disappointed. All they had were some atlantis military kits, the amt 63 Studebaker Avanti, the green hornet car, Wacky Racers, and the 2005 Cadillac Escalade. The only one I would be remotely Interested in would be the Studebaker, I just hope they get more in. -
Pat Ganahl was a model builder too...

Grandpa's Soxs and Martin Cuda Glue Bomb
FoMoCo66 replied to FoMoCo66's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I got some more progress in this week. The slixx decals are on and cleared over. The hood still needs done. The Decals went on amazing and the clear went on really good over the decals but a little rough in some places. A good look at the completed engine bay. This was also the first model I've ever used BMF on. I now understand the raving about this stuff. The front wheels are from the amt 57 chevy. They match the original wheels pretty well since I couldn't find another original front wheel. The tires are from the parts box. Thanks for looking. FMC66 -

Dang it I was going to say that. Anyway, very impressive Francis this thing really does look like you used a shrink ray. But we all know your just that darn talented! -
More old paint
FoMoCo66 replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here are some old crusted up bottles I found in my stash. A couple of very interesting Patrica bottles. And some old testors the black one that cost 30c is definitely newer. -
Any more updates on this awesome build?

What did you see on the road today?
FoMoCo66 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I saw a candy burgundy 65 chevelle pro touring on the way back from a Eagle Scout Project. I've seen this guy roaming around on nice spring and summer days. -
More old paint
FoMoCo66 replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow that stuffs old. However I doubt it's still liquid. A lot of my old paints are solid as a rock. -
The stance has just the right amount of rake. I love the wheels, paint, and wood. I like this kit, might get me one. Great job!

Trumpeter Ford GT40 with my twists
FoMoCo66 replied to kensar's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
Wow, for a second there. I thought I was actually looking at a real GT. 40 engine, not joking. I love the detail you're putting into this. Great job! -
Looks great! Maybe you could just display the car with the trunk open.
-
Yeah you do! This thing looks awesome! You totally captured the street racing look.
-
I agree. That's not cool at all. Was the kit already opened (out of the vacuum seal)? Also is it only the body? If so you could probably (maybe) find another...

This looks like a bitchen project. The revell 32s are the best looking in my opinion.

Who all knows of the Chicago Cutlass?
FoMoCo66 replied to Sledsel's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Wow. I think the only thing making sure that car doesn't fold is that it's a hardtop. If it was a convertible this is probably what would happen. -

Plumb crazy purple would look killer on that.
