  1. These are a couple of rare diecast cars I inherited from my grandfather. He owned a NAPA store back in the 1990s. While the car models themselves aren't especially rare, what makes them unique is the exclusive NAPA paint scheme. To get these, you had to be a store owner. The system worked by reporting how many of certain items you sold, which earned you points. You could then redeem those points for various types of swag—these cars being among the available rewards. Not many store owners chose to spend their points on diecast models, which makes them even more uncommon. My grandfather still has a few others, like some of the WIX models and a NAPA '69 Mustang. He just had duplicates of the ones shown here so he gave them to me (still in the original boxes). Just wanted to share these before they got packed up for the cross town move. Thanks for looking. Elliot

  2. ME TOO! Its not unreasonable, could be an all aluminum John Kaase block.
  3. Lucky, even a 10 year old non farm truck rust out in the wheel wells and cab corners here in Iowa.
  4. Think of it as a couple more layers of primer.
  5. Looks amazing man!
  6. Nice, what bodies did you get?
  7. Looks like a cool concept, even though the 65 is my least favorite fairlane I am looking forward to what you will do with this! I actually just finished up 64 tbolt build this weekend, a wonderful kit and an excellent one for kitbashing. This will be an awesome "What If?". I will remove pic if you want.
  8. Looks good, how was your salad? 😁
  9. Threw a lot of upgrade parts at my axial scx24 crawler this past week. Here's a list, an Injora IR60 hardbody (based on a 1982-84 toyota truck), Emax servo, Ebay wheels, Injora Rock Terrain Tires, Brass diff cover and steering nuckles, 3d printed LCG chassis, and Injora 40mm big bore oil shocks. Here's what the stock truck looked like (In a fun snow day crawl). Here's what it looks like now, 2 weeks ago this thing was stock. I bought it 2 years ago not upgrading anything on it till this week! Eventually it will need a new motor, maybe wider axles. For now, it performs like a beast, night and day difference from stock. I'm really pleased with how it looks and performs!
  10. Thanks, means a lot man!
  11. Looks cool, I've seen a real one at a goodguys car show, there awesome!
  12. This is my spin on one of the baddest factory machines ever built — the 1964 Ford Thunderbolt! It's completely box stock except for the plug wires. I used MCW Wimbledon White for the paint, finished with Rustoleum Enamel Clear. My goal was to make it look like it just rolled out of Dearborn Steel Tubing, with that mighty 427 tucked deep inside. This kit was an absolute blast to build — everything fit together perfectly. Easily one of my favorite builds to date! Here's the WIP: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/200076-revell-64-tbolt-off-the-show-room-floor/page/2/#comment-3019684 Thanks for looking. Elliot.
  13. Got it wrapped up last night, here's a sneak peak, look for it in under glass. Elliot
  14. Thanks a lot man, I appreciate it. Yeah, the rear seats are tricky but I was happy with my black wash technique. I also saw this video that looked like it had a good result. https://youtu.be/Wn7Q4qnU6xk?si=VpYHeMilbUsLi8pb
  15. Got my first mcw enamel paint for my 64 Thunderbolt. Sprayed and cleared it, looks pretty good if I do say so my self. Just keep in mind, I don't have the best lighting.
  16. Thanks! Means a lot. 😁
  17. Got the body in MCW Wimbledon white and rustoleum enamel clear. Just needs some wet sanding and polishing (my lighting isn't the best). Also got the chassis and wheels sprayed body color. Once those dryed, finished up the chassis. Thanks for looking. Elliot.
  18. You spoiled the 2nd movie for me 🙁. I know it's at the end of the 1st though.
  19. Thank you very much sir! Oh yeah, that's one of the reasons why this is my favorite car!
  20. The picture didn't load on my end. Would love to see it.
  21. The chopped radiator shell is one of my favorite parts of the car🤣.
  22. Got the chassis in my custom mix primer and finished the rear end. I also got the grill and rear tail light assembly done, the front bumper had to be stripped then sprayed aluminum. Oh I almost forgot, got my tires sanded.
